Why not a solar world

A bit simplistic and silly, but with some very good points;

Great question Old Rocks! In one sense it already is, and so I would guess that it only takes developing and a modification of human behaviour to make it all possible.

Here the main problem with a solar world.

Almost all of hedge investments, which fund the world's debt....predicated on ......fossil fuels. That is ensured by the big boys that don't give a rats ass about we plebs. Nobody going to fuck with their empire empire....ever. Nobody does.

If you need a reminder, go watch Godfather 2 again.
Should have been titled, "The Way the World Works" :coffee:

Why not a nuclear world so we don't have to rely on the sun shining?

At present 92% of new generation in the US is solar and wind. That percentage will only increase. How just who the hell do you think is making those investments?

Solar is viable alternative, but not at the surface. We need orbital solar power stations beaming energy to rectenna farms on the surface.
What bullshit. It would take under a 100 square miles of solar to power most US cities, and almost all cities have more square miles than that tied up in parking lots. Give the cars some shade, and the city a lot of energy.

There's no weather in orbit. There's no night in orbit. There's no pollution and bird shit in orbit.

How is it you claim to support science and technology?

All over the place. VPP's, parking lots, agrivoltaics, cattle and sheep pasturage.

I'm glad all those city slickers like dark solar panels covering everything...

Can we start with the Capitol building and White House?

How many Ah of batteries are you going to need just to keep a steady supply of electricity to those buildings?

So we're going to do away with cattle and sheep pasturage to make room for solar panels?

And you're expecting people to eat what?
