Why Libs Fail At Talk Radio

So why is taxpayer money needed to fund this liberal radio station?

The same with PBS on TV

Could it be, libs know liberal radio can't make it in the free market?

You didn't read the wiki, did you? Read the wiki. The wiki will tell you.

Nope. You didn't read it or you wouldn't be asking that question. It's explained in the wiki.

I know libs alwasy need money to keep their liberal programming on the air

Nobody wants to listen to it so nobody will buy ads

Dead Air America proved that

Libs get an F- when trying to compete in the free market without taxpayer money to pay for their bills
Some of the Members of the Board of Directors of the super-duper-liberal Corporation for Public Broadcasting:

Cheryl Feldman Halpern is the chair of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). She was appointed in 2005. An active Republican, she was chair of the Republican Jewish Coalition for eight years.
Mrs. Halpern has been nominated to the boards of national or international public broadcasting organizations by Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Gay Hart Gaines was named to the CPB board as a recess appointment by President Bush in December 2003, and confirmed by the Senate in November 2004 to a term ending in 2010.
She is currently a member of the American Enterprise Institute, the Heritage Foundation, and the Madison Council of the Library of Congress.

Warren Bell, first nominated June 20, 2006, by President George W. Bush. His confirmation was blocked, and on December 20, 2006, Bush appointed Bell as a recess nominee.

Beth Courtney, nominated April 2003 by President George W. Bush, confirmed by the U.S. Senate November 2003.

Claudia Puig, nominated December 2003 by President George W. Bush, confirmed by U.S. Senate November 2004.

Chris Boskin, nominated June 2006 by President George W. Bush and confirmed September 2006 by the U.S. Senate.

The other two are registered Democrats.

Oh and this is from the wiki you didn't read:

In the United States, public broadcasting is decentralized and is not government operated, but does receive some government support. The majority of funding comes from community support to hundreds of public radio and public television stations, each of which is an individual entity licensed to one of several different non-profit organizations, municipal or state governments, or universities. These organizations often produce their own programs, but largely depend upon national producers and program distributors such as National Public Radio (NPR), Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), Public Radio International (PRI), American Public Television (APT), and American Public Media. U.S. government support is filtered through a separate organization, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).

So... if "viewers like you" are the "main" support for National Communist Radio, etc., why not just go all-volunteer? And what is the breakdown, anyway? Why should one damn red cent of my hard-earned money go to support the liberal propaganda that is NPR, etc.?

Your point about the board of directors isn't convincing. They have nothing to do with programming. That's done by America-hating pieces of socialist crap whose very BODY CELLS are filled with contempt for conservatives, Christians, patriots, white folks, (real) workers, you name it. Minorities, atheists, communists, anyone foreign and environmental wackos are all they care about.

* the "money" highlight isn't mine...

Oh noez! Not minorities and atheists! :wtf: Can't have them running their mouths off.

Public broadcasting exists to offer programming that isn't beholden to corporate sponsers for its content, which offers a degree of informational freedom - in theory, anyway. For instance, a station that depends on selling ad space to Shell Oil for funding isn't likely to cover Shell's practices in Nigeria entirely candidly.

When was the last time you listened to NPR anyway? What's this 24/7 liberal propaganda you're talking about? Their news broadcasts, all they do is disject information.

All Things Considered, May 7, 2007 · Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius says that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have drained equipment from her state's National Guard. She expects that to hamper recovery from the devastating tornado that struck the town of Greensburg Friday. At least 10 people died.

Residents are returning to the town, where many buildings have been reduced to rubble. The tornado's winds reached speeds of more than 200 miles.

She tells Robert Siegel that 50 percent of the Guard's heavy equipment, such as dump trucks and backhoes, is not in Kansas. She also says there is little equipment to borrow from surrounding states since their equipment also has been deployed elsewhere.

Despite the equipment shortage and the extent of the destruction in the town of Greensburg, Sebelius says she expects residents to rebuild.

Rescue crews continue to look for survivors.

Show me the liberal propaganda there. If it's that Sebelius says National Guard resources are drained, all NPR did was report what she said for the record. If you've got a problem with what Sebelius said, you should take it up with Sebelius.

I do not listen to Savage - he is to over the top for me

As far as the others - what hate?

Dead Air America went bankrupt because it as wall to wall hate

Hosts openly hoping for the murder of Pres Bush - has Rush or Sean ever hoped any Dem died?

Libs are jealous because they cannot compete with conservatives on talk radio. This idiot is a prime example as to why

Any specifics to go along with your accusations? Links too, please.

I'd say the odds aren't good in BUlly's favor.

"A spoiled child (Bush) is telling us our Social Security isn't safe anymore, so he is going to fix it for us. Well, here's your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little b*stard. [audio of gun being cocked]." --Air America Radio's Randi Rhodes

I remember hearing Randi Rhodes saying lovely things about the "Bush Crime Family" and how she wished "they would just die, that somebody would just shoot all of them, like 'shooter' Cheney did his friend"....

It was a sickening display. In no time have I ever heard Rush wish death, and specifically shooting on any administration. Yet I heard it on Randi Rhodes.
