Axing Jimmy Kimmel Is Government Suppression of Political Speech!

:lmao:

The presidency and both houses of Congress.

All 7 swing states. Couple thousand counties. Oh and the Judiciary too.

A total ******* landslide.

You simply can't win with a 19% approval rating. And no ideas, no message, and no candidates.
Then why are you and the rest of Alt-Right Nation supporting gerrymandering?
The lot of you are pissing in your pants. Because you know without gaming the system you're gonna get your clock
cleaned at the voting booth. And that puts a stop to Overlord Trump's future plans. :)

Conservatism is a dead and failed ideology.
Live with it.(Pssst....no policy success stories...for FOUR decades!!):auiqs.jpg:

You can beg whatever the hell you want
FACT is that there was a violent attack on the Congress and nothing about Nancy Pelosi changes that fact.
I don't even know why I keep bothering, you are obviously immune to reason.
1. Pelosi takes responsibility for not approving the requests for the NG from Sund and Trump.
2. If she would have approved either request the 10,000 NG troops would have prevented the attack.
Tell me you still don't get that? She obviously does.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Pious Death Spiral
Hopefully an end to this half-activist, half-entertainer, full fraud.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Pious Death Spiral – The American Spectator | USA News and Politics
20 Sep 2025 ~~ By John Mac Ghlionn

Jimmy Kimmel’s indefinite suspension from ABC feels less like censorship than comeuppance. The comedian who once built his reputation on gleeful political incorrectness now finds himself hoisted by his own progressive petard, pulled off air after suggesting Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer was a Trump supporter rather than what he actually appears to be — a far-left fanatic with a taste for blood.
Don’t confuse this for another cancel culture moment. It’s the predictable end of a peculiar American transformation.
~Snip~
The contrast with his former co-host, Adam Carolla, couldn’t be clearer. Carolla stayed what he always was: a blue-collar contrarian with steady convictions and no taste for respectability politics. Love or hate his rants, he never betrayed himself. He is still the guy fixing cars and griping about traffic, just with a louder microphone. He built a podcast empire on the very authenticity Kimmel abandoned. Carolla may be cranky, repetitive, even reactionary. But he has remained recognizable. The same man, only amplified.
Kimmel, by contrast, became something worse. A reformed sinner desperate to flaunt his salvation.
~Snip~
The networks no longer command the culture. Kimmel might try to claw back relevance by launching his own show on YouTube or a podcast like Carolla’s. But who, I ask, would tune in?
Carolla’s listeners show up because he’s still Carolla. Stern’s devotees stay because he’s still, in some fashion, Stern. Kimmel is no longer Kimmel. He is a hack hybrid — half-activist, half-entertainer, full fraud.
Only the most deluded could mistake that for a draw.

Commentary:
But wait. There’s more!
Sources claim that ABC is considering bringing Kimmel back on the air if he will “apologize” for what he said about Kirk, and if he will make a sizeable donation to some organization devoted to non violence.
Not many other details.
Some shows are kept on by artificial means, long past their Due Dates, just to continue the propaganda messages, i.e., "The View", Saturday Night Live, for the last decade or two, that dull shopworn “Comedy Show” that replaced Roseanne, to name but a few.
To be authentically "funny" is to be able to ad-lib so smoothly hardly anyone could notice. Carson certainly had that - as well as self-mocking quite regularly.
A dullard like Kimmel can't pull off a "rehearsed" comedy skit because he's genuinely not funny. And he certainly thinks he's above mocking himself.
I couldn't agree more...Good riddance.

Which is blatant stifling of free speech and ABUSE OF OFFICE.

Do you seriously not get that whatever standard Trump sets now you will have to deal with when a Democrat gets into office?

How about being able to see just slightly beyond your short nose, even if you don't care for basic democratic principles.
We already did, dumbass! Did you miss all of the times that Obama and Biden used the power that Democrats had to go after conservatives? You were fine with that...even when you were warned that could backfire on you...but you didn't listen.

1. Pelosi takes responsibility for not approving the requests for the NG from Sund and Trump.

Thats is all kinds of bullshit. It's not true and even if it were true it's completely irrelavant.

1. Trump never gave any such directive, not before attack, not during attack (and was impeached for it):

“I was never given any direction or order or knew of any plans of that nature,” Miller said in the video.

Miller later said in the video definitively, “There was no direct, there was no order from the President.”

“We obviously had plans for activating more folks, but that was not anything more than contingency planning,” Miller added. “There was no official message traffic or anything of that nature.”

2.
Pelosi herself was not aproving such things and the guy that reported to her was only one of three people responsible.

3. Even if were true it STILL in no way excuses, justifies or refutes the fact of the attack. Congress not being well defended does not make attack on it somehow ok.

In my opinion, what happened to Jimmy Kimmel with him being taken off the air for his comments surrounding Charlie Kirk in his opening monologue is alarming because it will suppress comments of other late night and daytime talk show hosts and comedians in so far as pressuring them not to say anything that is or can be construed as critical of the current Presidential administration because there may be severe personal and business repercussions for doing so. This is bad for America's Democracy because if suppression of political speech which this is in at least a broad sense is allowed to exist in one sector of society it will have a contagion to suppress political speech in other settings and this will result in our government not being as good as it should because avoiding legitimate criticism motivates people in government to act in a good and best manner. This action against Jimmy Kimmel is simply an intolerable assault on our Democracy and our way-of-life!

What Jimmy said in his monologue was not encouraging or supporting political violence they were attempts to find humor in the situation, one may find it tasteless and not funny but nevertheless it was speech whose only purpose was to try to be humorous! Supporters of this outcome say there was nothing wrong here Jimmy's employer ABC is free to fire and hire who they want and they chose to fire Jimmy. No No No this is not the whole story government action inappropriately got involved in this situation. Brendan Carr, Chairman of the FCC which regulates TV stations, publicly essentially said that the TV station needs to act in this situation and discipline Jimmy Kimmel or the FCC will commence an investigation and bring sanctions against this late-night talk show employer over this matter. In essence what the chairman of the FCC did in this instance is that it suppressed political speech on this late-night talk show program and this is a dangerous precedent that should not be able to stand!

Before suggesting what America should do to stop this assault on political speech it really bears mentioning what is going on here. President Donald Trump our current President has a major flaw in his character in so far as he uses the levers of power of the Presidency to penalize people and organizations he doesn't like.
In the instant case he is using the FCC to penalize a late-night comedian that criticized him and got under his skin. This is just speculation on this writer's part gleaned from videos of Trump and Charlie Kirk together but I think Jimmy hit a nerve implying President Trump wasn't too affected by Charlie's assassination because I don't think President Trump really liked Charlie the President doesn't like people to tell him what to do and Charlie because of his popularity amongst America's youth could to a large degree tell the President he shouldn't do this or should do that and Charlie was ultra-Conservative, deep down President Trump isn't an ultra-Conservative he is a real estate and marketing mogul Playboy from New York!

This definitely won't happen because President Trump is President but what America should do is pass a law that says any radio, TV and video outlet that receives a fine and/or sanctions by the FCC that penalizes an entity over political speech that entity has the right to sue the FCC to block it and whether or not it goes to court or is settled before hand the suing organization will get all its legal and defense fees paid for if the case goes to trial and the plaintiff prevails the entity will get ten million dollars or three time the financial penalty the FCC was seeking up to fifty million dollars. The law should also explicitly say that grounds for impeachment for the Chairperson and any member of the Commission of the FCC are if they support an investigation and/or vote for penalties against a business that is about suppressing political speech. What the American people should do to fight this suppression of political speech is call for the removal from their jobs of three people in authority in ABC and Nextstar that are highly culpable in this hit job on Jimmy. These three cowards should not only lose their jobs but should be blackballed in corporate America the message should be sent to executives in the media industry that you have a civil duty to stand up for free speech especially political speech and there will be grave consequences to caving to bullies in Washington D.C.!

Republicans in Congress are cowards and won't stand up to President Trump and call for this type of legislation. But Democrats should call for this legislation and commit that once they get control of Congress and the White House they will enact it so to stop any future President that wants to be an authoritarian President like Donald Trump from being able to do so! On a separate subject it has been reported in the media that the Democrats are prepared to shut down the government over the funding of the government bill if it does not contain provisions extending the enhanced health insurance premium subsidies for individual health insurance that are set to expire this year. I think this is an outstanding right move by the Democrats with the one proviso; Democrats don't make this stand on the seven week continuing resolution bill Republicans are pushing. Shutdowns are very painful for the nation let the Republicans postpone the fight for seven weeks in November of this year Americans will still be getting the enhanced premium subsidies then. It is an extremely righteous cause fighting for the enhanced premiums this affects twenty-two million Americans and if the subsidy isn't continued the average health insurance premium will be going up seventy-five percent, to be candid many of these American families just won't have the money to pay this higher health insurance bill! The political realities highly favor the Democrats goal here some Republicans have voiced support for the continuation and the closer we get to January 1, 2026 more Republicans will come aboard because that is what their constituents want!

Maybe you can take the bra off your head long enough to hear this. Kimmel isn't fired, he is on hiatus while his fate is determined. All ABC seems to be asking is for him to tone things down and apologize. The government didn't fire him. The FCC hasn't laid a single fine on Kimmel. The FCC clearly has rules which do not support lies on TV,

Maybe you can take off the underwear from your head and hear this - Trump and his FCC Chair have no bussiness threatening regulatory retaliation against media for being too critical of their administration.

Kimmel is not being asked for an appology for mis-characterizing political association of Robinson. Nope, he is being told (by intermediaries for administration, no doubt) that he has to appologize to Kirks (to whom he has sent condolences after the murder when he condemned political violence) and pay money to Kirk's rightwing political foundation, which is ******* nuts.

Sinclair Broadcast Group, the nation’s largest owner of ABC affiliates, said it will not allow “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” back on its stations unless the late-night host apologizes to Charlie Kirk’s family members and makes a “meaningful personal donation” to them and to Turning Point USA, the conservative activist’s nonprofit.

Right. Leftists everywhere are blaming Trump, as they blame Trump for everything. He had nothing to do with it. It was Sinclair Broadcasting.

Headquarted in Baltimore, Sinclair is the 2nd-largest TV station operator in the US and largest owner of ABC stations.

Official statement from Sinclair...

Ooooh you don't think it's proper to blame Trump for threatening to revoke broadcasting licenses...after he keeps threatening it time and time again?

After his "free speech champion" FCC Chair goes public and specifically threatens regulatory retaliation against ABC unless they take action on Kimmel (and they do the very next day)?

After even rightwingers like Cruz and Carlson called foul on administration?

After all that you think it's time to pull the "lefties always blame Trump" card?

You need to pull your head out of sand and read. Everything I said was 100% accurate.

Fact is, he had nothing to do with the Kimmel suspension. His statement was made after Kimmel was suspended.

I am not a fan of government suppression of free speech in any way, and how soon we forget what the Dems actually did to censor speech all over social media, academia, and in medicine in the name of countering misinformation.

Trump said "fill the request" for NG troops.

Gen. Kellogg: Trump did request Nat’l Guard troops on Jan. 6th; asks Congress to release his testimony

Not only Trump but Capitol Police Chief Sund also made an early (J3) request for NG troops, and wants Pelosi to fess up.
2. Pelosi herself was not approving such things and the guy that reported to her was only one of three people responsible.
She admits denying Sund's request, ON VIDEO.

3. Even if were true it STILL in no way excuses, justifies or refutes the fact of the attack. Congress not being well defended does not make attack on it somehow ok.
If Pelosi approved the NG there would have been no J6 attack, duh.

  • January 6th Committee testimony: The committee showed recorded testimony from Kellogg stating that he was unaware of any request from Trump for a law enforcement or National Guard response. Kellogg added that if such a request had been made, he would have expected to know about it.

Here is the actual Kellog's testimony (Page 49):

- Did you ever talk to the President about having National Guard troops at -- on standby or available for January 6th?

- No.
And the reason I say no is I was thinking rally hard,.. In the entire 5 years, we had never had a need for extra police or National Guard at any rallies we'd had had in 5 years. We never had a single issue with a rally in 5 years. So there was no reason for me to have said that because I had never seen that needed.

You are again caught repeating Trump's lies because you don't know how to do basic fact check.

Was Congress attacked? Yes it was.
Who attacked it? MAGAs because Trump lied to them about the election.

Just aknowledge that and stop posting stupid deflections simply because you don't happen to like these irrefutable facts.

More made up bullshit.

I've watched the video, there is NOTHING about any requests.

There is no evidence Pelosi ever communicated with Sund, or discussed his concerns with Irving, or knew anything about them.

No it wasn't and I've explained exactly why.

And now you are down to empty claims about being 100% right...without even being able to aknowledge what is in the very post you quote.

Pathetic.

The J6 committee was not legitimate. I provided credible links that contradict their phony testimony.
I provided actual video of Pelosi taking responsibility for not having the NG there for J6.
1. Mark Meadows said 10,000 NG troops were told to be "on the vrteady" for J6
2. General Kellogg confirms the NG was requested
3. Capitol Police Chief Sund says Pelosi needs to be honest about the NG
4. Kash Patel confirms they offered the Capitol Police (Sund) and Mayor Bowser NG troops.

"In testimony shared by the committee Tuesday evening, Miller was asked about an assertion made by former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows that as many as 10,000 National Guard troops were told to be “on the ready” that day."

"Kellogg, who was serving as Vice President Mike Pence’s National Security Advisor at the time of the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol breach, tweeted last week, “To be clear on 6 Jan/NG. Pg 199 of my book, ‘On 3 Jan the President asked the Def Dept to deploy NG troops’ into DC for J6 contingencies. OK for J6 Cmte to publicly release my full sworn testimony. Release Army Guard and DC Mayor J6 testimonies as well. Would be illuminating.”

"A former Pentagon official with the Trump administration, Kash Patel spoke to Jan Jekielek about how the Capitol riot of January 6 could have been prevented. Patel, who was Chief of Staff to Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, said "We had offered the Capitol Police, and Mayor Bowser of Washington, DC, thousands of National Guardsmen and women, two days before January 6. And they turned us down."
