Why it's important to keep a Republican out of the White House

Look idjut! Conservatives are not "against unions"
We are against forcing people to join them and, for the most part, we are against public sector unions.
Public sector unions are corrupt.
The union donates money to a candidate that raises their salaries so that the unions can donate more money next cycle.
Hell! Bribery happens in business all the time. People get jail time for it, but public sector unions seem exempt from prosecution even though the bribes are payed with tax payer money.

Citizens United means we will never again have an open, honest election.

Sheldon Adelson will buy the R candidate and then the RW sheeples will obediently vote for him.

As to the OP, a Repub president would mean the loss of all the progress President Obama has made. All the jobs would be lost, the stock market would tank, all economic recovery would be gone and we would immediately be in several ground wars.

Simply put, we cannot afford another R prez.

Neither can the world financial systems.
So what are the loto numbers, who is the Repub candidate, and how much will he/she win by?

We are against forcing people to join them and, for the most part, we are against public sector unions.

Hey ernie, who gets "forced" into a union? Workers vote to enter into a union. If the majority wins, the union is in. The workers who are not for the union can go get another job. No force to it.

If the person applies to a union company and bitches about paying union dues, fuck em. They knew it was a union shop to begin with so don't be bitchin' after you are hired.

And you always have the right to move to a right to work for less state and make less money. Nothing stopping anyone from doing that.

And they can always work for a non union company and make less than the union worker.

So where is the force ernie?

Wtf ernie? YOU really think that politicians have control over the salaries of union executives?
LMAO. What you smokin' dude?

"Union Dues"..... Lol

Democrat Election Slush Fund to be more precise.
Whats left after their corrupt bosses take their obscene "profits" that is....

So "join the union or quit" is not force in any way? LOL.

If unions are such great ideas why do they have to be compulsory for certain jobs?

As for your "you can always move" one can apply that to anything, such as abortion rights. For example why should people in NY care about abortion rights in Alabama? those people can always move......

Public sector unions are corrupt

My Fire Dept, Police Dept and Teachers are corrupt? That be wrong ernie. You be stupid ernie. You got any proof ernie of that claim to corruption as a broad based occurrence in the public sector unions.

Once again, Stephen Colbert sums it up, this time with a campaign finance knock-knock joke. As reported at TPM “Knock knock?” Colbert said. “Who’s there?” asked the crowd. “Unlimited union and corporate campaign contributions,” Colbert said. “Unlimited union and corporate campaign contributions who?” the crowd replied . . . “That’s the thing, I don’t think I should have to tell you,” Colbert said. This would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad. Proponents of secret political spending cry “harassment” in an attempt to defeat disclosure laws that provide accountability over the corporate political spending allowed by Citizens United. But even Justice Scalia, no fan of many campaign finance laws, understands that “[r]equiring people to stand up in public for their political acts fosters civic courage, without which democracy is doomed.”

Why the conservative disdain for unions when corporations, in a lot of ways, work the same way but for a different class of citizen?

There's that lack of logic I previously mentioned..

All Public sector unions need to be abolished .........
No taxpayer funds should be held hostage by greedy, corrupt unions.

So "join the union or quit" is not force in any way? LOL.

Hell no it ain't "force". You are employed in a work force that followed certain rules and guideline for organizing a union. It culminated in a vote. If the union is voted in and you feel so strongly anti union, then getting another job would be the thing to do.

Why don't you want democracy practiced in the work place? It's a simple majority wins proposition. The minority don't like it, go work somewhere else. It ain't rocket science and unions are not designed to protect the rights of the minority. So sorry.

But what the lazy republican wants is to enjoy the increased wages and benefits that come from union representation with out paying for it. Why am I not surprised.

You weird dude. The topic was jobs and unions. You can find plenty of threads on abortion but this wan't one of them.

Most democracies don't end with the minority being forced to leave the country.

Again, if Unions are teh awesome, why do people have to be forced to join them?

I am using it to prove the illogical nature of your post. I ask you, if you think people can "just leave" their job if it goes union and they don't want to, why can't a woman "just leave" Alabama if it bans abortion?

I am questioning your logic, not the topic.

The number one reason: Supreme Court Justice appointments. Republican appointed Justices have bought us Citizens United. That's basically had the effect of selling off our government to the highest bidder. Unhappy with your candidate? You can thank unlimited pac money. Bought to you by you Republican appointed justices.

You're right, if the 1st Amendment is to be repealed once and for all, along with the rest of the bill of rights, we will need leftist hacks with no regard for the Constitution like Kagan and Sotomayor. You democrats have a Constitution to kill, and you need Justices dedicated to the cause and willing to piss on the law of the land.

Oh yeah.... What really ticks Libs off about Citizens United is that labor unions can no longer donate huge amounts to Liberals without corporations being able to support their interests as well.

Freedom of speech is enemy #1 of the democrats.

Citizens United is the most important defense of civil rights in a century.

Unions are required to represent all employees of a unionized company - regardless of whether some employees chose not to join. Hence, union dues from members must also defend the rights of nonmembers. It ain't rocket science...

Private sector unions have my full support....

They compete fairly in the marketplace without raping taxpayers for their benefits.
