TRUMP had women on his list for who he would nominate. Nothing wrong with playing your best hand to win. Nominating a woman in this case will limit the methods of attacks for liberals to use. When a lady Justice leaves, that seat is filled with a lady.
When a person of color leaves, that seat is filled with a person of color.

yeah, your point actually was the first thing that came to mind when I first saw this. Picking a SCJ just because of gender seems very very wrong. I have to think though, this wouldn't be happening if it wasnt 2 months before the election and this must be happening because of what the Republicans see as a practicality.
