Why is violent crime falling in the U.S when people still own guns?

Breaking and entering is legal. Smash and grab robberies are legal. Assault is legal. If an attempted rape can be considered solicitation for sex that's legal too. All property damage crimes are legal.

But if a homeowner should confront the violent offender that's the crime. There is less crime. Violent acts are on the rise.

When there is no punishment and an offender allowed to walk out that activity is defacto a legal activity.

1. The left doesn't want to bring to the attention of the public, all of the times law-abiding civilians have used firearms (rifle and pistol) to deter crime.
2. The millennials have been consistently brainwashed in the public pro-communist/socialist educational system, that freedom and gun ownership is hand-in-hand evil that must be torn down.
So, it doesn't matter what level the crime level climbs or drops to, the left will look at law-abiding gun owners that don't commit crimes as the enemy that has to be shut up and changed to believe in authoritarian governments in which the people all bow to the government, or else.
