Why is there still immigration into the US?

I thought Trump was about slowing immigration into the US? Why is Trump still bringing in lots of immigration into the US?

Many US cities are going up population rise each year even with Trump in now.
Indian doctors are needed to service our illegal parasite populations.

LOL... the farms are failing and the rural towns are disbanding due to all of the cuts in aid. Cities are growing because of right wing policies.

Educate yourself.

1.

The U.S. economy depends on population growth to expand. Native-born birth rates have fallen below replacement level.

What immigrants do:

  • Expand the labor force
  • Start businesses
  • Increase demand for goods and services
Without immigration:

  • GDP growth slows
  • Labor shortages worsen
  • Inflation pressures increase
Immigration isn’t replacing U.S. workers — it’s preventing economic stagnation.

2.

Certain sectors already cannot function at current demand without immigrant labor.

Key industries:

  • Agriculture (farmworkers)
  • Construction
  • Healthcare (nurses, home health aides)
  • Hospitality & food service
  • Tech & engineering (high-skill visas)
As Baby Boomers retire, there are not enough native-born workers to replace them.

3.

Immigrants are more likely than native-born Americans to start businesses.

Examples:

  • Over 40% of Fortune 500 companies were founded by immigrants or their children.
  • Small businesses owned by immigrants employ millions of Americans.
They don’t just take jobs — they create them.

4.

The U.S. has an aging population. Social programs depend on current workers paying in.

Immigrants:

  • Are more likely to be working-age
  • Pay payroll taxes
  • Often contribute for years before collecting benefits
Without immigrants:

  • Fewer workers per retiree
  • Faster insolvency of Social Security and Medicare

5.

Immigrants are disproportionately represented in:

  • STEM fields
  • Patents and research
  • Universities and startups
Many breakthroughs in:

  • Medicine
  • Computing
  • Clean energy
    have immigrant roots.
If the U.S. restricts immigration too much, talent goes elsewhere — Canada, Europe, or Asia.

6.

Immigration strengthens U.S. power by:

  • Attracting global talent instead of pushing it to rivals
  • Supporting the defense industrial base and tech sector
  • Maintaining U.S. cultural and economic influence worldwide
A shrinking, aging population weakens a country geopolitically.

7.

Every wave of immigrants — Irish, Italian, Jewish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican, etc. — faced resistance.

Each wave:

  • Integrated over time
  • Expanded the economy
  • Strengthened American society
