Why are housing prices not coming down?

I thought Trump was tightening immigration into the country and sending illegal immigrants back. If that is what he doing why are housing prices not coming down?

Also I thought there was stats saying Trump is still bringing in immigration into the country?
They have you silly sally...

Since Trump.........

Mortgage rates have come down.
Home prices have come down.
GDP continues to increase after it stalled Biden time.
Inflation has come down.
Price of your ******* eggs have come down, Geeezuzzzz.

BTW, in a lot of areas the price of homes have come WAY DOWN. Zillow for instance any home in Monterey Ca., and look at the graph. Course California is a shithole State, so maybe that's not fair.

In 2024, the average home price in the U.S. hovered around the low $500,000s, with median prices generally lower, around $415,000-$420,000

In 2025, the average U.S. home price hovered around the low $500,000s, with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) showing an average of $512,800 in Q2 2025, while the median was around $410,800,

Plus leftists are idiots, how much control is a POTUS supposed to have anyway? You guys constantly cry about our democracy, why act like it's a dictatorship? Cuz you're democrack, and democracks are cracked.

Indeed, the lack of new construction began with Barry Obama the man of many alias names.
So for the last 17 years we had lack of construction of homes while Democrats have imposed draconian environmental blocks to building new homes while increasing costs of items.
Well, how else will they drive up property values for more taxes in the coffers?

Build baby Build.... simple... blue counties must start building homes again... no homes = high home prices which brings in high property taxes for blue counties states and cities....
So dems can do the stupid shit they do... and still get reelected....
That's jut you talking, not proof of anything happening.

Because, contrary to what the racist Trump cult would have you bleev, Mexicans aren't responsible for any of our economic problems in America. Especially the shortage of housing.

The tards would have you bleev dirt poor Mexicans are buying up all the half million dollar houses. :auiqs.jpg:

Trump has deported the people who build houses, and he has raised tariffs on construction materials.

Hmmmm....I just don't understand why we aren't seeing a boom in new home construction!

.

LMAO!!

Look at that chart!!

Holy exaggeration Batman!!

And it went down because the economy is going down, lol.
For 2025, the U.S. GDP growth rate is estimated around 2.1%, with Q3 showing a strong 4.3% annualized jump, reaching a nominal size near $30.6 trillion, as projections suggest a slowdown to about 2% for the full year amidst strong consumer spending, AI investment, and trade improvements, though future growth faces potential headwinds. Globally, world GDP reached roughly $117.2 trillion in 2025, with growth slowing to about 3.2% from 2024.

Cough, that's with Q1 2025 seeing a slight decrease (-0.5% real), Biden-time.

Evidently, you are too damn lazy to check for yourself.

According to Realtor.com, the five metros with the most significant price drops were:

  1. Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos, TX: Down 7.3%
  2. San Diego-Chula Vista-Carlsbad, CA: Down 6.7%
  3. San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA: Down 5.5%
  4. Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI: Down 4.9%
  5. Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV: Down 4.8%
Home prices are falling fastest in these California metros

Wow, I didn't realize Mexicans didn't live in homes. Leave it to a leftist to suggest they shouldn't, and ****, I guess they're all poor too. I'll tell that to my friend, yeah he earns $750 a day minimum.

Only an idiot would suggest an influx of "Mexicans" would not impact housing needs, and I don't hear conservatives screaming about "Mexicans" taking "our" homes away. Personally I like most Mexicans. The smart and stable ones stand with us acknowledging what is right, and your left aint it.

I don't agree with you.
In the mid 1960's I bought a home built in 1930 in NYC for $18,000 sold it in 2002 for $216,000.
The latest value and sales price for this home is $634,230 today.
NYC is hardly an example to use as a average in the rest of the country.

My AO is a good average....A 50-60 mile commute into NOtVA/DC, plenty of local jobs too.

More than prices, I’m wondering when interest rates will come down on homes. People paying 6%, that’s crazy
