I thought Trump was tightening immigration into the country and sending illegal immigrants back. If that is what he doing why are housing prices not coming down?
Also I thought there was stats saying Trump is still bringing in immigration into the country?
In answer to your OP question, it depends upon the area/market.
In some places they are dropping a bit and in others they continue to rise.
Mostly a matter of Supply versus Demand. IN areas where Supply isn't matching demand then the prices will go up.
Also depends a lot on how much home/housing one is looking for. Older and smaller homes go for less than newer and larger homes.
Immigration is a small factor, and one that might be a component of others moving/relocating to an area from an other part of the country.
One major factor is the increase of regulations and inspections and building~inspection fees, which cumulatively in some markets can be 20-33% of the costs.
The greater and more expensive the red-tape to do new builds, the larger and more expensive they are since that is the way for builders to make a reasonable profit versus more and smaller "starter" housing.
No single cause, but a matrix of many causes/factors depending where in the nation your market is.
