Why Is It That Republicans Lie So Often?

Sorry. A Republican President never won LIE OF THE YEAR...
Just lie of the century. But St Ronnie rationalized he was too STUPID to know he was lying so it was OK!!! :cuckoo:

We did not, repeat, did not trade weapons or anything else for hostages, nor will we.
- Ronald Wilson Reagan, 11/13/86

A few months ago, I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that's true. But the facts and the evidence tell me it is not.
- Ronald Wilson Reagan, 3/4/87

In defense of Reagan, HW Bush a known criminal was VICE president at the time and Don Regan was also a crook and was/is Oliver North. Reagan was probably lied to by his staff. Reagan was also suffering from Alzheimer's.

HW Bush is a dirty slimy bastard and a pedophile.

Why do democrats need a huge, unaccountable, and bankrupt government to think and do everything for them?
Because they actually believe the politicians in their party who have been telling them they are too stupid to take care of themselves and that they need the government to do it for them
Proof the Right lie in packs!

Yeah yeah all those for your own good and we have to protect you from whatever regs the dimwitcraps love are because they think you're all the best and brightest

The left actually has a tactic that allows them not to lie. They simply stop talking about it. I've notice that whenever a news story is brewing and that story could be damaging to a democrat then that story seems to mysteriously die down. In 2008 Obama's healthcare plan wasn't talked about for about six months before the election. ISIS is now deemed not a credible threat. The economy hasn't ever been mentioned while Obama has been in office. Bengazi....silence. Do you guys see a pattern here? They don't have to lie. They just stop talking about it.

The reason libs think Republicans lie more is because if a Republican says something that isn't necessarily true, they are a a liar. If a Democrat does the exact same thing, they misspoke.

That just criticises on survey.. It does nothing to say that Hillary tells the truth more often than the Leading GOP candidates...

That doesn't mean Hillary tells the truth all th time but her record is far better than the leading GOP candidates...

Nobody is perfect but Hillary is far more honest that the leading GOP Candidates and if it wasn't for Carson, Trump would be the biggest liar by a wide margin... Trump 7% of his statements true or mostly true, Hillary has 50%...

And what was Trump's only true statement:
DONALD TRUMP
Says American polling shows Russian President Vladimir Putin has "an 80 percent approval rating."

Which maybe true but would ye but well... Saddam won his elections with 99% of the vote...

And he doesn't have one statement true or mostly true, criticizing Democrats...

I really don't care Because ALL politicians lie. It's the only thing any one of them is good at

To say that any politician is a worse liar than another is a distinction without a difference you know like being sincerely dead as compared to merely dead

I don't think it's a major issue if they lie, it's more what they lie about that's concerning.

DumBama won his reelection simply by lying enough.

Carson and Cruz are probably the biggest liars but Rubio and Fiorina are also serial liars. Before that we had Mitt Romney and that nasty little weasel Paul Ryan were the biggest liars in history.

Republicans seem to have a tough time telling the truth but why to they lie so often?

DemsTRUE.jpg

The simplest one was "Republicans lie because the truth doesn't work".

They can't win by simply stating their beliefs and having everyone vote anymore. This is the reason Republicans in state legislatures have been working overtime to pass laws to make it harder to vote for minorities.

Why is that, is it harder for a minority to get an ID than it is for whites? And if so, how?

Republicans don't see it as lying.

They are part of a movement, and a movement's job is to change the world not explain it. They describe the world in ways that further their cause. They describe Hillary in ways that make it easier to defeat her.

They are Leninists. This means that if the cause is just, it's okay to exaggerate, distort and lie. The fact that most of them believe their own lies is par for the psychological course.

This is why they created the most powerful think tank movement in the history of politics. Not only did they want to create an intellectual environment that mimicked the rigor of science and academia, but they wanted a tool for constructing facts for their minions, so they could have a bubble where Clinton's email scandal is actually worse than Reagan selling weapons to Iran or Bush/Chaney lying us into War.

The Republicans have constructed their own reality - and they pull voters into it with fear, patriotism, religion and patriotism.

And that is how Faux News and conserative talk radio operates. That is the blueprint. Construct a lie, send it out into the lie echo chamber until it bounces around so many times people start thinking it true, then start citing that lie as if it were an accepted truth.

You mean like all the problems we have today are the fault of a guy that died 12 years ago and hasn't been in the White House in over 27 years?????

That's called "Availability Cascades".

Cass Sustein invented the term. It's how they got the Stimulus, Obamacare, Global Climate-Change, Bush's Tax-cuts for the Rich, the Separation of Church and State, won back Congress, destroyed the Iraq War because of WMDs, Watergate, made Planned-Parenthood look innocent even after they admitted guilt and first apologized, then claimed innocence, and got an indictment against the people that caught them red-handed selling aborted fetuses body parts for tons of cash. If you make up a lie, repeat often enough, and keep repeating it,......that lie becomes reality.

The real genius of conservative media is they have working class and poor conservatives defending the lie machine. They know all they have to do is demonize all things 'other' and there is no way to penetrate the lying con bubble. It self-perpetuates through the over-the-top ignorance of vast swaths of conservatives.
