Sure we could have continued to save the world and wipe out poverty in the USA but you guys keep siding with the rich. So instead of solving these problems easily, you make them worse. And you give the rich tax breaks.

Stop blaming the youth today. It's not their fault there aren't the same economic opportunities you had. It's not their fault college will put them in debt when it was only $5K a year when you went to school. They live in a much different America. You climbed the ladder of success then you lifted up the ladder so they could not climb it the way you did, boomer.

It turns out my generation has it the worse. Generation X. But I feel lucky I went to school when I did and I was able to save. But I didn't have any kids. Not a good idea to have kids during the Bush years. Don't think I would have survived. Would have lost the house, got a divorce.

And at least my dad's probably going to leave me a half million dollars. The kids today, as bad as they have it, most likely will have to let their broke ass parents move in to their basements when they get old. So the kid lives with parents till 30, then the parents live with the kid when they turn 65 because otherwise they can't afford to retire.

He's the only guy who can go bankrupt 7 times, not pay his employees, be sued 1000 times, get caught not paying taxes, get caught inflating the value of his portfolio when it suited him, fail and do all these mean or criminal things in business and somehow more voters than not thought he'd be better on the economy than Kamala would.

Yes. Christianity teaches that all sin and fall short. Which is why we needed a Savior in the first place. Humans will sin. All humans. "Sin' is that which harms us and/or others either by commission on omission.

But whether they hate politics or religion, the haters focus on the sin alone and never the much greater alternative good that is done. When it suits them they blame the sins of people who lived long ago for all the trouble in the world now, but ignore the good they did. I am critical of all religions. Organized religion is the bane of humanity.

As far as I know, And I have looked, there is only one religion that has never killed or marginalized people of different religions, races or opinions, and that is Jainism.

And I suspect they just haven't gotten around to it yet.

The Atheists nations USSR Red China and Cambodia slaughtered over 100 million people in 50 years Red China gave us Covid thats not even counted. But lets compare the Spanish Inquisition killed 3000 people over 350 years. Atheists get the award. You even beat Hitler he only killed 60 million.

The vast majority of people on this site are very critical of Christianity, but say virtually nothing about other religions. Somehow, being critical of other religions around the world is considered bigoted.

Why?

I have no problem with people being critical of anything really, even a faith that I profess. However, am I to be silent of other religions that deserve equal criticism? Christians here are often harassed about theology from the Holy books that may say something about animal sacrifice or slavery that happened thousands of years ago but are not practiced today or why you can eat pork now but now in times past, etc.

Is that fair? Don't get me wrong, these questions should be asked and answered but really, questions should also be more centered on what you believe and practice today. How you live and think is the measure of your faith, and not what people have done in the past.

This leads me to Islam. There are virtually no threads on these boards about being critical of Islam, even though Islam dominates a great deal of the world today as it seems to grow every year. As a result, I think it dangerous to turn a blind eye to all the changes going on around us thanks to this world religion.
