Dr. Nawaf Al-Takrouri, said in a May 19, 2026 interview on the .. YouTube channel that no "reasonable Muslim" can criticize the October 7, 2023 "Al-Aqsa Flood" attack after the "fantastic gains" it produced around the world. Al-Takrouri is the chairman of the Palestinian Scholars Abroad association and a member of the board of trustees of the Muslim Brotherhood- linked, Qatar-based International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), and has also been referred to as a Hamas founder, leader, and former member.
He said that the recent achievements of the Palestinian caye came at the cost of bloodshed and destruction but argued that the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque requires sacrifices beyond 70,000 dead, 150,000 wounded, and the destruction of Gaza. He went on to say that liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque may require one million martyrs, but that it would be a disgrace for the Islamic nation if all of them came only from Gaza, rather than the entire Muslim world. "This is the plan," he said. He added that the mujahideen had already placed the liberation of Al-Aqsa "on track," and described the devastation in Gaza as "a natural price to pay for the launch of the liberation."

I would say ~73000 dead Arabs is fewer than one dead Arab per Israeli bomb over 2.5 years.
