In an nuclear war China has no chance. Even if they hit America with all they have most of America would still be alright. if America hit China with a fraction of their missiles China would be radioactive wasteland.

They have a huge military-industrial complex that employs millions of people and distributes money to them. Meanwhile, they have all the Generals doing everything they can to promote fear and paranoia so the political leaders will keep spending on the military.

The problem is, once you have an enormous military, you're all dressed up with nowhere to go...unless you start a war.....

Are your carriers not protected by submarines? They would have to plan for that. They have their own submarines. Probably not as many as you do but a good number anyway.
