I understand that the hospital would have to isolate someone who is COVID positive- but for the media to report a gunshot victim as a "COVID ICU" case seems pretty misleading to the public. The health departments who make the reports should really be letting the people know exactly what they are counting. listing a case as "COVID ICU on a ventilator" might be technically accurate, but it says nothing about the pestilence if the real reason the patient is that jacked up is the 3 slugs in his back.

Although people have found some cases of something like this happening, this would not account for more than a minimal rounding error in the overall statistics.

Considering the fact that most COVID cases are asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic, and also considering the fact that all admittances without exception to major hospitals are automatically tested (for isolation purposes), it doesn't sound like a "minimal rounding error" when you are talking about a very widespread virus, with literally millions of positive cases.

The odds of concurrently having COVID and being simultaneously admitted for other reasons, especially to the ICU are minuscule.

That's bullshit. There are 5 million CONFIRMED Covid cases in America, and undoubtably a lot more unconfirmed cases.

Coronavirus isn't a rare disease.

You're confusing prevalence and incidence. The odds of any American having COVID at a given time is less than 0.1%. The odds of being in the hospital are similar. The odds that someone happens to be in the hospital at the same time as having COVID, just by random chance, is the product of those two percentages, or about 1 in a million.

Lets start... Your infection rate is while people were social distancing and being careful.

There is 180,000 teachers in Florida and about 20,000 admin. Students are carriers and very effect ones at that, they more likely to be asymptomatic. So they will come in everyday infecting people for weeks...

85,994 cases age 35-44 cases or of 601,183 population ---14.3%
Hospitalized 2,694 or 0.45% of the population hospitalized...again average teacher age 42...
Deaths 171 of 601,183 population is about 0.0284%

My point of showing the facts are COVID is totally grossly overblown by the Media and in Florida especially,
going back to school has extremely rare chance of kids getting Covid and even RARER chances of dying.
Teachers... another issue BUT again chances of a school teacher average age 42 dying is about 0.0284%! Really??

Lets start... Your infection rate is while people were social distancing and being careful.

There is 180,000 teachers in Florida and about 20,000 admin. Students are carriers and very effect ones at that, they more likely to be asymptomatic. So they will come in everyday infecting people for weeks...

Europe are seeing how effective young people can spread this virus right now...

I heard a report yesterday that said while the USA is only 5% of the world's population we have done 20% of the covid testing. I think it's safe to say we are aware of a lot more cases of covid vs other countries hence our numbers look much larger. Dems who claim to be about the science can't seem to do simple math, or just want to spin this negative against Trump. I think we all know what their motive is.

Have you heard that 96.8% of cases survive?
NO you haven't but the first 30 seconds of almost ALL national/local news lead of COVID is how many deaths!
But more importantly there is NO mention that 99.65% of cases are mild.
But the dishonest MSN doesn't tell you the whole story and the reason is the following.
