Why Harris lost

Yeah Dems weren’t as energized as they were in 2020

Pretty simple
Ok

Harris was a bad candidate and democrat policy was unpopular

But I think repubs studied the book on democrat vote fraud and took corrective action

With neither party being worth a crap, I've felt there is a limit on how much leadership the public is willing to turn over to them. We've had the Democrats controlling the presidency in 3 of the last 4 terms of office, now it's the Republicans turn to handle affairs. That's the weakness of the two-party political system. When it is time to toss the bums out, there only awaits the bums on the other side to take their place.

In a narrow election, you a make a case about almost any issue being the deciding factor. That said, inflation was clearly the biggest knock on the democratic campaign.

It's truly distressing to me that people's view on the economy, which supposedly is described by objective measure, is so skewed by their political persuasion.

Apparently, it wasn't translating down to the middle class. When you look at the demographics Harris won, she lead with people whose income exceeded $100K, a slight lead with those who have college degrees and a huge lead among those with graduate degrees.

The definition of insanity.

You can think whatever you like
Bottom line is that Dems were not energized in 2024. They were hyper energized in 2020. Times change

Too many eyes watching.
I don't think this should be ignored. Republicans did a great job at the polling places; having them staffed with trained watchers and attorneys at the ready backing them up. Lara Trump had a lot to do with this.

It's a very sad day that we need to prevent democrats from massive cheating but we need to have learned our lesson.

I'll volunteer in 2028 to be a watcher for the republicans.

Dems bore the blame for inflation whether it was their fault or not.

That’s the way it goes sometimes.

The lower middle class are the ones most affected by the inflation that we had a couple years ago

Both Trump and Biden were “at fault “ for that even though the actions of both were necessary

Unfortunately Trump got a pass and Biden didn’t

Was it something in the water?

Not really. People just didn't vote. No reason why they should have, it wasn't like their lives depended on it like it did in 2020.
After all the lib bs about the end of democracy?

Of course Democrat policies are unpopular

In April 2020, Donald Trump cut a deal with Vladimir Putin, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and OPEC to intentionally increase oil prices and bail out his biggest oil donors after a price war between Russia and the Saudis sent oil prices plunging.
Also, his tariffs on China hurt American farmers, bankrupted many, caused food prices to soar and cost taxpayers billions in bailouts.
Inflation was driven by ignorance and greed, not Biden's policies.

I completely agree, but what do you think the percentage of financial literacy is in this country?

Maga forgets conveniently that Trump wanted a BIGGER stimulus. But the reality is that the candidates didn't really matter. Biden got nominated in 20 by promising to let the progs enact the legislation they had votes for. Trump has still not laid out any plan to deal with debt and prevent a return of inflation ..... and he doesn't even like the fed for ending it. lol

There are many reasons Kamala lost some of which I've posted.

I'm kind of going to defend her here.... But the main reason Kamala lost is because Democrats are the real misogynists. Democrats gave her the crappiest hand any candidate has ever had to deal with. They "installed" her as the candidate in late July with roughly 90 days left. They asked their female candidate to win a marathon when her opponent had already run 20 miles. It's clear from a messaging standpoint she wasn't ready, nor did her team provide her with content. If I recall her website didn't even have policy on it until late August. Would any male candidate have to deal with this garbage? Where did Gavin Newsom go?
