Why don't you want to tax the rich?

Washington has no state income tax. Just like Florida, and my state of Tennessee and several others like Texas, where Elon Musk lives for tax purposes.
I am aware. WA has carbon tax, the highest fuel tax in the nation, excise taxes on more products than I can go into here, 95% tax on nicotine products, excessive alcohol taxes, they are limited on how much they can tax real estate, but they aren't limited on how many times or how much they can assess the properties for, Business and Occupation taxes. WA taxes are ridiculous in spite of having no income taxes.

He can't control all of the other 534 members of Congresses votes, can he?

Do you not know how this shit works?
Yes he can. He has plenty of tools of his own. None of which Biden employed. Trump tried with Elon and got hell-all for it.

He can't be a president without influence over other branches of government can he?

You forget that every dollar spent was done with Trump's signature. The democrats had no role in it--he has to approve every dollar spent. Its rather humorous that you're now worried about spending after re-electing someone that ran up $8T in debt.

Lets tone down your dishonesty, shall we?
What was Obama's famous quote?

"Elections have consequences?"

Yes, I believe that's the one.

You’re wrong. The combined wealth of all US millionaires is around 26 trillion dollars.
Read the income provided in a previous comment. Much of the wealth is not in cash. You are the one who’s wrong.

Confiscating all billionaire wealth in the U.S. (around $7.8 trillion as of late 2025) would provide a significant, but ultimately temporary, boost to government funds, estimated to cover roughly
nine months of federal spending in a single, one-time infusion, not a recurring annual budget. This seizure would face immense economic hurdles, as most wealth isn't cash but illiquid assets like stocks, and liquidating them would crash their market value, drastically reducing the actual revenue, while also crippling innovation and investmen

Unfortunately he has muptiple residences that he maintains and moves around.

If you are opposed, why?

Why do you oppose aggressive taxation of people making more than $250,000+ a year or $400,000+ a year annually?
Income is the wrong thing to tax. Sales is far fairer.
Why is this?
Sales is easily taxed and no federal snooping into citizens business is done. We must protect the privacy of citizens. The constitution is set up for that purpose.

This is true.

You re-elected a blob who spent $8T in new debt. He's well on his way to surpassing that this term.

Your complaints about spending are moronic in light of your voting and politicians you support.

Speak for yourself.

Admiral Rockwell Tory I'm not a comic, but there is a lot of anger and frustration in this country right now and a lot of Luigis are out here waiting to snap, to strike.

Then change the tax code! Oh, wait! All those rich people are the ones who write the tax code, don't they? Why don't you ***** and complain to the right people?
Dumbass, that is what I said. I would change the tax code to close loopholes only available for offsetting income, if you are in the top earnings group. You asked what I would do, and I told you, point out specific loopholes, sometime with the reference number. I am sorry if the top income earners are not making enough, to suit you, and you don't want to see loopholes not accessible to anybody but them closed.

If you didn't want to know, you shouldn't have ******* asked, dumbass. To do anything at all regarding tax rates, specific tax accommodations, would in fact require changes to the tax code. I simply do not favor establishing a new higher tax bracket as nobody is paying the bracketed rate, due to accommodations and set asides, in the tax code, commonly thought of as loopholes. Personally, I figure I could be happy with a flat, no loopholes and no hiding income in corporate/business mazes.

If you want to stupidly ***** at somebody, ***** at the OP, or the other Mod with his "soak the rich" brackets. Like I said, I have paid mine without bitching about it since I was 16. I planned mine, like I do everything else. At filing time, I rarely paid in more the a few hundred, more than than what had come out during the year. The only time I got a substantial tax rebate was when I put and had twin boys in college (one at state university, one at a private university at the same time, during and after the Bush crash, and those rebates mostly went right back into keeping them there. But, that was then. This is now, and I am still debt free. set comfortably, and I still do not ***** about the taxes we pay. Next time you do not want to know something factual or opinion, don't be dirt stupid enough to ask, swabby.
