Why don't you want to tax the rich?

What would you do if you were footing the majority of the bill at the restaurant and your fellow patrons were running up the tab paying very little or some none at all? And, to add insult to injury, they would admonish you for not “paying your fair share” and then protest the restaurant for giving you a discount or rebate based on how much you pay?

You’d run too.
Actually our society benefits the wealthy much more than the working class
Schools, infrastructure, transportation, the military all serve the interests of the wealthy

If you are opposed, why?

Why do you oppose aggressive taxation of people making more than $250,000+ a year or $400,000+ a year annually?
Because I'm one of the "rich?"

He only has ONE state of residence---just like everyone else. It is FL.
Yes he moved to florida. You just state the obvious. He lived in NYC for a long time before moving to Florida.

From 1983 until 2019, Trump's primary residence was the three-level penthouse on the top floors of Trump Tower; in 2019, he declared Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, to be his primary residence.

Most Americans continue to favor raising taxes on corporations, higher-income households

With Congress considering legislation that would extend the tax cuts passed during the first Trump administration, a majority of Americans continue to say taxes should be increased, not decreased, for large businesses and corporations. They also say this for household income over $400,000 a year.

More than six-in-ten U.S. adults (63%) say tax rates on large businesses and corporations should be raised. This includes 34% who say they should be raised a lot.

Admiral Rockwell Tory I'm not a comic, but there is a lot of anger and frustration in this country right now and a lot of Luigis are out here waiting to snap, to strike.
And your point is? We have a lot of nut jobs running around because Mommy didn't give them enough breast milk when they were young.

Dumbass, that is what I said. I would change the tax code to close loopholes only available for offsetting income, if you are in the top earnings group. You asked what I would do, and I told you, point out specific loopholes, sometime with the reference number. I am sorry if the top income earners are not making enough, to suit you, and you don't want to see loopholes not accessible to anybody but them closed.

If you didn't want to know, you shouldn't have ******* asked, dumbass. To do anything at all regarding tax rates, specific tax accommodations, would in fact require changes to the tax code. I simply do not favor establishing a new higher tax bracket as nobody is paying the bracketed rate, due to accommodations and set asides, in the tax code, commonly thought of as loopholes. Personally, I figure I could be happy with a flat, no loopholes and no hiding income in corporate/business mazes.

If you want to stupidly ***** at somebody, ***** at the OP, or the other Mod with his "soak the rich" brackets. Like I said, I have paid mine without bitching about it since I was 16. I planned mine, like I do everything else. At filing time, I rarely paid in more the a few hundred, more than than what had come out during the year. The only time I got a substantial tax rebate was when I put and had twin boys in college (one at state university, one at a private university at the same time, during and after the Bush crash, and those rebates mostly went right back into keeping them there. But, that was then. This is now, and I am still debt free. set comfortably, and I still do not ***** about the taxes we pay. Next time you do not want to know something factual or opinion, don't be dirt stupid enough to ask, swabby.
So you just admitted talking out of your ass because the same people you want to change the tax code would be cutting off their nose to spite their face? Is that your goal? All you are doing is bitching because your solutions won't work!

Yes he moved to florida. You just state the obvious. He lived in NYC for a long time before moving to Florida.
He changed his state of residence from WA to FL. You can twist irrelevant garbage around in your head all you want, but the fact remains, Bezos escaped the billionaire taxes in WA and other tax producing billionaires are going to follow. Former governor, Jay Inslee, discovered his error when he tried this garbage and Boeing threatened to move out of the state if he did. How much tax revenue is produced for the state by those Boeing employees that would not have a job? Economics is not your forte.

We don’t have a revenue problem. We have a spending one

We have a problem with our spending priorities

We spend more on our military than the next eight countries combined while we neglect healthcare, education, modern infrastructure, social services

Taxing wealth is hard. Wealth is not income tax. The super rich dont live on 2-week paychecks with a 401K you dumb OX.

The super rich make the rules, that is why income is taxed so heavily…..they don’t claim any

But they accumulate massive wealth tax free

What other countries spend on their military is irrelevant.
