Most of that was there before the Progressives took full control. From my view Oakland should be a city full of milk and honey now from Progressive control. Jerry brown. What a jit stain. One of the 1960's radicals who had all the answers and the slums are still slums. California owes its wealth today to its location receiving products from Asia.

Before Progressivism, they wouldn't show a belly button on TV for fear of offending someone, after progressivism now, they WANT to shock you, and with as much vulgarity, deviancy, and abnormality as possible. Now they want open nudity, open promiscuity, violence, hate, oppression and intolerance.

Yes in the late 60's, the Haight-Asbury turned into a Marxist stronghold. Bill Ayers and the gang along with their buddy Obama were carrying out the mandates from 'Rules For Radicals.' Sad, before that the area was a hotbed for music and peace. I used to go to the Fillmore West to see now famous groups. It was all pretty great until the Marxists took over.

there is a lot of truth about illegals coming into that state that keeps the population steady....and they "exploded" in population for the reasons you gave many years ago,not this century..........

What I don't get is how CA can pay for all the free stuff, no way are they not running up a huge debt. I thought the states couldn't do that, they had to balance their budgets. Or are the people who audit everything are democrats that tell everyone it's all good.
