Why is it polls almost never include a choice that reflects my preferences?

It's a waste of time. But I feel a civic duty to try and educate the uneducable.

In any case, I am tired and retired, the one thing I have a lot of is time.

I'm here to use my brain (barely happens because there's barely anyone who can hold down a sensible conversation in this place) and to learn about current events and to talk about them so I can understand them better.

I'd also say over the years I've used this place to look into human psychology and mentality. It's not very pretty, that's for sure.

It is a great opportunity to watch a slice of essentially older Americans grapple with the greatest event in their lives .
The dissolution of the short lived American Empire .
As the effects have inevitable world wide consequences of the harshest sorts possible , it makes sense to be as close to the centre of the storm , hoping to see useful ways of combatting further inevitable effects as they spread abroad .

As a Psychologist I am also fascinated to watch how the masses handle anxiety as it turns to serious stress and then hysteria and fear .
