It proves your point is wrong. The USSR didn't win the war. It just killed the most Germans at a fat higher cost in Soviet blood than was desirable or necessary. The WAllies won the war by fighting across every ocean and every continent involved in the fighting. The USSR completely lacked the ability to do that and didn't even realize it.

Stalin killed far more Russians than the German army did.
As Stalin said "quantity has a quality all of its own". Soviet generals were butchers who were willing to murder their own men to curry favor with Stalin. The Red Army always had overwhelming superiority in manpower and numbers of tanks and artillery.
And Stalin made the Germans slaves after conquering them.
My only point was that the US did not win the war on its own. That is the premise of the op ed. And I'm right. Never mentioned the Soviets in my post.
