Why do some Americans believe they single handedly won WW2?

On a serious note...

Y'all can pull you dicks out for a measuring contest.

But the reality is that it was all the countries banding together that won the war.

The fact that the industrial might and farm lands of the US were major factors in success. Safe food production, safe manufacturing facilities, safe training areas, etc.

But there was no one country that won the war.

In that case, you can easily show us where all that money went. Ready, set, GO!

70th anniversary U.S.-Soviet link-up at the River Elbe

"Seventy years ago this April 25, American and Soviet military met as wartime allies against Nazi Germany in the closing days of World War II in an obscure and now long-forgotten place on the Elbe River called Torgau.

This was a truly special embrace of men in arms in a terribly costly but just war against the most hideous existential threat the modern world had ever known. It brought about a bond between wartime allies that shortly thereafter was lost and abandoned in the Cold War."

The USA bailed your asses out, saved your country with RADAR and other things

In fact, it was a German who first patented RADAR in 1905 as a method to detect ship.

The first modern air defense radar was invented by The British in 1935. It was deployed across Southern England in a system called “Chain Home” and was crucial to winning The Battle of Britain.

Yep...and a 2 trillion dollar deficit in 2024 to show for it.

What a man.

Tell us about the rural high speed internet billions that went nowhere.
Certainly not in my neck of the woods. Or anywhere else it seems:

The $42 billion internet program that has connected 0 people

Biden’s Massive EV Charging Station Failure

President Biden is spending $7.5 billion to build EV charging infrastructure, but so far only 7 stations have opened from his “National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure” program, turning the program into a debacle.

Tell us about the rural high speed internet billions that went nowhere.
That is the highlight of Biden’s high speed Internet
Getting Internet to cities is easy
But there are vast internet wastelands in rural areas
The key is building an Internet backbone in those areas. Then you can start hooking up homes.

It is an ongoing project that will take ten years….unless Trump kills it

True, but it was not very good radar, in this early version, targets could be detected but distance of those objects could not yet be determined.

Yes but, part of that success hinged on the fact that Britain didn't have the manufacturing capability, so began a Tizard Project to share and improve technology between the Brits and US, and MIT and Bell Labs greatly improved the radar and manufactured what Britain needed. They ultimately fooled the Nazis by dropping reflective pieces of foil bits out of planes which the Germans mistook for a squadron of British planes, so, avoiding the undefended area, flew away straight into the heart of Britain's best defenses.

What saved WWII from the Nazis was America's vast manufacturing capability, which we subsequently gave up to China.

50 billion dollars and no one connected and only 7 charging stations nationwide.

And the Democraps have nothing to say, no complaints.

They save it all for worrying how often Trump plays golf.

Frankly, I'm surprised Joe even got 7 stations built.

Wonder if any of them even still work today.

The soviets only survived to fight because of US aid food and massive amounts of weapons and equipment. With out us they would have lost to the Germans.
No, Germany would have never won the war as they didn’t have the troops.

The US didn’t care about saving USSR but we could not have saved Western Europe without the Soviets grinding down the Nazis in the East
I'll agree and sorry if that didn't come thru.
It was pragmatism; the USSR is fighting the Axis, the USA is fighting the Axis(Germany), we had common cause so should share effort and resources where possible.
As it was, hindsight suggests the USSR got more out of the deal than the USA by war's end and post-war situations.

Leftists worship their Party masters no matter what happens. That's why I no longer engage with them. They're all brainless, cultist, parrots.

The Soviets beat Hitler? Tell it to the brave Americans who fought and died in the Ardennes offensive aka the Battle of the Bulge.
The Allies beat Hitler/Nazis.
The UK (England and Dominion=Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, etc.); USA, and Free French, etc. provided a team effort. Especially in terms of manpower and combat efforts.
Where the USA stands out was as the "Arsenal of Democracy(Freedom)" in that we produced the lion's share of weapons, equipment, supplies, FOOD, and other items.
One unrecognized example is that the bulk of amphibious vessels/landing craft were produced by the USA.
Same can be said for the bulk of transport aircraft.
Same can be said for the bulk of motor transport ~trucks and jeeps, etc.
Same could be said for a few other items/categories.

Numbers/quantity counted as much as quality in that fight/conflict.

No internet backbone being built here. :(
