I put Hitler in the forum search ….

/----/ Nothing right wing about the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Or the fact that the very concept of "Fascism" and "National Socialism" were created by the man who had been the most powerful Communist in Italy for years.

Both Hitler and Mussolini frequently stated that they were both devout Socialists, but by the 1930s neither one was an Internationalist. And it is that split between National Socialism and International Socialism that caused a violent split between the two groups.

In many ways, it is not unlike the split between the USSR and CCP. Both claimed to be "Communist" and "Socialist", but almost came to war a couple of times how each of them was doing it a different way. And each of them wanting to lead "World Socialism".

But such violent splits among Socialists are not uncommon. Both the KMT and CCP both are "Socialist". Hell, both recognize Dr. Sun Yat-sen as their founder for goodness sakes. But the KMT was based on an older version of Socialism, and the CCP evolved much more around the idea of International Socialism as preached by Marx.
