Ok, we go beyond the question of "why does evil exist"? To delve more granularly. Why do so many who engage in evil get away with it?

We know evil exists, but how come so little justice on this earth?

What is "evil"?
"Evil" is merely a label we put on things that we have decided at bad.

Killing is evil, or is it? If we kill a cow is it evil? It's still killing.

People can justify anything. Look at Hitler, he managed to justify killing the Jews.

The world is a place of power. People with power will get away with doing evil acts. Those weaker will feel they can't do anything about it, so why risk their own lives to try and defend others?

Because for the most part people don't really care what happens to others. If some murdering pyscho kills 100 people you don't know do you really care? Will you go out of your way to find the killer?

P.S. The woman who plays Mrs Barnham is the famed British comic actor, Joyce Grenfell, in one of her rare dramatic roles.

You wouldn't know it from this clip, but this movie, "The Americanization of Emily" is a comedy.

not sure most recognize the dimension of evil that is involuntary that can control an unwilling subject ... as, who is bullied grows in them a resentment they unwittingly take out in a brutal manner on an innocent bystander. all too often the true victim is not the end result only its causation.
