Why Did Trump Take The Presidential Documents When He Left Office?

its not illegal for someone with a security clearance to possess classified documents. Presidents are cleared to see everything. Protection of classified data is entirely different, so is destruction of classified data, both of which Hillary Clinton violated, but no raids, no indictments, the clintons are above the law, exactly why is that?
Presidents do not have security clearances. They don’t need them.

Once they leave office they no longer have ANY right to see or have classified or secret or top secret or top secret compartmented material unless the sitting President so declares.

He did not

but the clintons do?????????????? she was not even president she was a ex SecState. All I am saying is that if Trump violated the law then so did hillary and nothing was done to her, do you understand what double standard means?

and obozo has no access to it??? you live in fantasy land if you believe that.
Any access he has to it is negotiated with the NARA and the Biden Admin.

Any classified material is NOTin that warehouse but rather in a NARA facility in DC

Any other lies you feel the need to tell?

Horseshit, Barry has a number to call and any document in that archive will be delivered to him. Do you really think those clowns follow the law?

yes, the dems are getting quite desperate, when they raid an ex president's house with no specific targets of data, and then refuse to release the affidavit that started it all, and the raid was authorized by a known Trump hating judge who contributed to Biden's campaign

this whole thing was done because the dems and libs and media are scared shitless that Trump will expose and prosecute their corruption and treason if he gets another term. That's what the entire 6 year witch hunt was all about and you libs fricken well know it.
Affidavits aren’t released in ongoing investigations. That’s perfectly normal.

The warrant had specific items they were looking for. It’s a lie to say otherwise.

The whole thing was done because Trump is a moron who thinks he doesn’t have to follow the rules.

The warrant specified what they were looking for, " Any physical documents with classification markings,..
The receipt shows they found them.

The prosecution is under no obligation to release the affidavit showing cause until after the defendant has been indicted, nor should they if it reveals the prosecution strategy. Prior to trial the defense can make a pretrial motion challenging probable clause for the search. However, they can not challenge the warrant for cause before the search or before indictment.

The request for the affliate is an attempt by Trump lawyers to derail the investigation.

He is entitled to copies of any presidential documents that are not classified but not the originals. Apparently, Trump decided he would take the originals which is where all this started. The month after Trump left office the NARA contacted Trump about missing documents in connection with the meeting with North Korea. Other documents were discovered missing and a formal request was made for their return in May 2021, etc....

And you base this garbage on what?

Some fever dream you had last night?

The president does not have a security clearance. The Commander and Chief has unlimited access so there is no need for a security clearance. The moment that Biden became Commander and Chief, that access was transferred to him and Trump's access became the same as the public so any possession of classified documents or presidential documents became illegal.

So you're saying because we made the mistake of not prosecuting Hillary we should make the same mistake in not prosecuting Trump. :cuckoo:

Again, you are displaying a marked lack of knowledge about classified material. Even if a person has a security clearance, they still must keep the classified material in a secured area or container, as well as must have a need to know about it. Just having classified documents because you have a clearance is a non starter. In addition to a clearance, you MUST have a need to know. And, while presidents are cleared to see everything, Trump wasn't president when he had the classified material at his residence. Once he was no longer president, that classified material should have been returned.

the whole thing was done because the dems, libs, media, and DC establishment are scared shitless of an outsider like Trump who will expose their corruption, lies, and treason if he gets another term. It was a witch hunt driven by fear. Trump and his staff were complying with all requests prior to the illegal raid.

how does one return classified data that is in their brain? your entire premise on this is incorrect. Classified data does not have to be physical and the protection provisions continue even if the physical document is destroyed.

No, really I'm interested in why he did this. It doesn't make any sense. With the exception of classified documents, the NARA will give him copies of anything he wants. The NARA digitizes and cross reference documents for his presidential library.

To sell to the highest bidder. It’s what traitors do, when they’re committing espionage.

of course not, anyone who violates the law should be prosecuted. What we have is proof that hillary broke the law but only vague allegations that Trump did. so deal with the proven violations first and then see if the allegations can be proven. Right now we have a double standard and that is wrong and unconstitutional.

Why Did Trump Take The Presidential Documents When He Left Office?
Why didn't Trump return the documents to NARA when they asked for them in Feb. 2021?
And if he declassed documents, why didn't he stamp them declassified?
None of this makes any sense.
Having Top Secret Documents and Top Secret - Compartmentalize documents in your home is dangerous. This is the kind of stuff people kill to get.
Lastly, why would Trump destroy some of these documents and leave the pieces of them in boxes to be found?

We all know he left the carbon copies from the manual typewriter at the National Archives

does that apply to obama and clinton or only Trump?
