Why Did John Deere Bow Down To Communist-Socialists??

"Deere & Co. workers approved a new contract Wednesday that will deliver 10% raises immediately and end a monthlong strike by more than 10,000 employees. Deere workers - and other unions - have been emboldened to ask for more this year because of the ongoing worker shortages and because workers didn't always feel appreciated while working long hours during the pandemic.

In addition to the initial raises, this week's offer kept the 5% raises -- $8,500 ratification bonus, preserve a pension option for new employees, make workers eligible for health insurance sooner and maintain their no-premium health insurance coverage. The workers had been holding out for more from Deere, which has predicted it will report record annual profits between $5.7 billion and $5.9 billion when it releases its earnings report later this month."

This is very troubling....too many workers are feeling entitled to wages and benefits they don't deserve and didn't earn.....$8500 bonus?? No healthcare premiums? WTF? These people are talking about they don't feel appreciated...You have a job, be thankful for that...because under Biden's economy, millions have lost their jobs...but these workers are becoming more and more of a problem-- or at least these unions are...

The company didn't even make more than 6 billion in profits last year; and these these workers have the audacity to ask for more? What needs to happen in this country is a swinging of the pendulum to put this labor force back in check....maybe the wealth-class, the major shareholders and investors, maybe they need to strike this time...this system has been rigged against them for far too long.......it's time that they impose the much needed austerity cuts on all of these entitled workers....this strike is nothing more but a communist-styled redistribution of wealth from the rightful owners to the undeserving lazy working class... I am not saying all workers; because some of these union members didn't even want more; they were happy for what their employers gave them...These unions are the problem and its time that they are outlawed..

More inflation.

American workers destroyed themselves when the quality did not meet the salaries and benefits in big ticket unions. That is the truth today in strong unions.

Quality is up to management.

For a while the big automotive manufacturers were practicing "designed obsolescence" were they would build cars that would only last 3 years and then you'd have to buy a new car.

Japan saved us from "designed obsolescence" with the Toyota Celica. Some Toyota Celicas would last for 400,000 miles or more even.

You can't pin "designed obsolescence" on the unions.

This is why we want to stop illegal immigration. Worker shortage = more power over "the man" for employees.

This is how goofy ass right-wingers look when they cape up for the wealth-class -- while working in the hardware aisle at Home Depot:

Cool story bro....

"We" don't really want to stop illegal immigration, because "We" just want to campaign on demonizing brown people for votes.....

because "we" have no problem with treating folks who work their asses off for peanuts like trash...but when it comes to those employers -- I don't see these "Protect Our Borders" folks demonizing them....but I sure do see a shit ton of excuses we give these folks for hiring illegals...

"the government would have to get tough not on migrants but on those who hire them. But that is a tad too tough, it seems, for most immigration hawks -- Toughness does not extend to those who benefit most from unlawful hiring. There are no federal agents being asked to get “a little rough” with corporate executives."

Let me know when you folks start throwing these employers in the same cages with the same passion you love to see brown people thrown in....

Biden is in charge. Why hasn’t he thrown them in the cages Barry built?

Capitalism means:

You do the work, but I get the money.
Spoken like a true hateful little proletariat.

Capitalism also means you don't have to use your brain and think of or worry about actually providing a marketable product or service. In fact, you don't really need to think about much. You simply do as you are instructed and you always get paid for work you do. But if the market shifts or the business doesn't take off, you still get paid for the work you do, and I lose everything even after investing thousands of hours and money into the very business that gave you a fucking job.

You know what helps workers? Not competing with illegal labor.
:dunno:

LMAO. I will visit the John Deere factory instead. Its working great there. Workers defending the rights of future employees is awesome. People at their best.
Well Tammy. If one enjoys being ordered what time they have to go to work. Enjoy slaving to a sob with a thumb up your ass for 50 yrs. Dreaming what you might have been. Dying a year after retirement with a pitiful pittance to exist. Go for it!

Here is a copy of the second contract that was voted down, it's worth noting that while this offer was (relatively speaking towards other employers) excellent, it did not preserve pensions for new hires and had tiered wages for them, and that was a sticking point, new employees will now not be screwed. The union was looking out for future employees, not just themselves.

"The union was looking out for future employees, not just themselves." OBVIOUSLY not con-servatives.
