The Money a person earns is measured as a unit of time.
A Doctor makes more than a Teacher. Because his or her time is worth more. And before we start talking about edumucashun..... A Plumber makes more than a Teacher because his time is worth more. So does an Electrician. So do most Tradesmen.
This all goes out the window when we get into Sports and Entertainment. That is a Market Based evaluation and it makes no sense to man nor beast.
As an example, it takes Generic Motors very little more time (measured in Man-Hours) to make a Pickup than it does to make a Corvette. The materials are quite close in cost as well
But a Corvette costs nearly twice as much. Why? Because they can get it. A Market-Based principle. What the Market will bear. Corvettes are few and far between and they are meant to show a lifestyle but are pretty much useless otherwise. Shiny. Like a Silver and Diamond Bracelet. But relatively useless. Or, in the cases of shiny, completely useless.
You go down the Automobile line-up just a bit and those Cars like the Ford Escape, the Rav4, Nissan, Honda C- whatever ......
Those are "Cost-Based" vehicles. The vast overwhelming majority are. Ford, Honda, GM, Toy-Odor etc know exactly how much it costs to make those vehicles, to the penny, and they price them accordingly. They need to make xx% profit or they'll lose money.
You and I are also Cost-Based. I can't sing or dance and I can't run faster than light or dunk a B-Ball from Half-Court and while I
am stunningly handsome If I do say so myself

), I can't act and I don't play well with others. Not much of a Stand-Up Comedian either, but I have been known to try depending on the amount of alcohol I've consumed.
I suspect that fairly describes you as well, more or less.
Point being, if someone wants to make money, Teaching is not the path to choose. If Teachers didn't know that going in, then they are too stupid to be allowed around children. Which, to be honest, most of them are anyway.
So if they, or you, wants more money.
Here's a thought. Try a profession that pays more. But be forewarned, they often require this thing called 'production'. Something the Teaching profession has no clue about.
