So far all Republicans have done is try to smear the witnesses before the House. The witnesses the Republicans want to call have no knowledge of Trump's activities in Ukraine.
Why don't the Republicans call Pompeo?
Why don't the Republicans call Giuliani?
Why don't the Republicans call Pence?
Why don't the Republicans call Mulvaney?
These are all people with first hand knowledge of what happened- if there was no bribery attempt- they could testify as to their first hand knowledge that there was no bribery attempt.
If the President wasn't demanding an investigation into Biden's in exchange for arms or for a visit in the White House- these people could make that absolutely clear- easily.

Why don't Republicans want to mount a defense with witnesses who can refute those who say there was a quid pro quo for Trump's personal benefit?
Are you serious?...Schiff's unfair rules forbid the GOP from calling witnesses that they would like to hear from...you were kidding right?...because if you didn't know that you shouldn't be commenting because you don't know anything....
Nothing is stopping the GOP from putting Pompeo, Giuliani, Pence or Mulvaney on their witness list.
Do you really thing Schiff would object to any of those- all of whom are directly and specifically involved- being called?
Republicans in dark over GOP witness list awaiting Schiff approval
Giuliani is Trump's lawyer. Attorney-client privilege prevents him from testifying. Pompeo and Pence are not fact witnesses. They didn't see any of the events under discussion.
None of that prevents the Republicans from calling them as witnesses.
But I do like that you are in agreement that Giuliani pushing Ukraine to investigate the Biden's was for the President's personal benefit.
As far as Pompeo and Pence- they know more about what happened in Trump's administration than Hunter Biden- and that doesn't stop them from calling Hunter Biden.
More specifically- they both have more direct knowledge than Morrison who is on the GOP's list.
And Mulvaney was the one who ordered the funds withheld. He certainly can go before Congress and under oath tell the House the President's real reasons for ordering the funds withheld.
Mulvaney could put an end to the entire investigation.
