Why are US banks 20 years behind?

If that is true, that would be terrible. It really holds US banks back, because it is hard to European consumers to buy products online, for instance.

But what regulations could prevent backs adding microchips to debit cards?

It's amazing - so far not one single explanation as to why banking customers in the US aren't offered the same services as those in other countries.

People need to demand more from their banks. At the moment US consumers are being ripped off.
