Yeah that last word...such a different word here! Also a few years ago I had to ask, "what the heck is a courgette"? Heh
The word Courgette was coined in the 20th century being derived from the fourteenth-century word Courge. It is used in UK and France.

The term Zucchini is a 19th Century Italian word mainly used in the US and Australia.

A lack of zeal for life or something?

It's like they conquered the world for it's spices, and the varied cuisines of it's conquered peoples, went home, got bored, and decided not to use any of them anyway. :dunno:
Gordon goes over to the US to sort out their restaurants.

I would eat that shit up quick,,

not gonna eat the blood pudding for the same reason I dont eat mountain oysters,, because of what they are,,

starvation could change that,,
What the heck is blood pudding? Like congealed blood cooked up in a pan or something?

I was reading that the German U boats bombed the commercial US ships taking supplies to Britain.

Couldn’t that be construed as an act of war?
My guess (keep in mind this is just a guess) is that the American public had so much sympathy for Nazi Germany, and they hated Britain and Churchill for going to war against Hitler's Germany, that they brushed off these attacks because they actually wanted Britain to lose the war. So, of course, the elites just engineered the Pearl Harbor so as to change public opinion on the war.

The food fits the climate. Miserably wet. And then beer.

I would leave the mushrooms off.

I've been to Britain, and never had a problem finding great food, especially roasts, steaks, and pastries.
I got sick as hell on a 'big Irish breakfast' that looked a lot like your photo followed by a high-speed bus ride on curvy Irish roads. I tasted the blood sausage for days. Everything had the same weird taste after that.

/——/ Your guess is wrong wrong wrong. My family is German, and had to hide their nationality because of hatred of Germany going back to WWI. You called us Huns, Krauts, and worse.
