Yeah, they ARE getting rich off of them. Maybe not Soros or Gates rich, but they drive $70K+ vehicles, can afford $500 weaves and nails, buy designer clothes and shoes worth thousands of dollars. And not to forget, dripping in gold jewelry. There is an entire underground line of how welfare money and SNAP benefits are used at collateral for ghetto RICHES, including drugs, large houses, and very expensive lifestyles by those who get welfare, and have gotten it for the extent of their lives to this point.
Did I say steak? I said 93% lean ground beef instead of the cheap 80% version. And yes, you can upgrade that by eliminating a bag of Fritos and a bottle of pop.Milk is bad for you. It contains lactose, and generates an acidic pH in the body. Not to mention cows are plain bad for the planet. And we need to do away with cows anyway because they are all slaughtered in pain, abuse and torment, just ask Buttercup.
You can get it for $1.00 per/2-liter bottle.
Fritos suck.
So I can feed a family of five on steak just by eliminating a bag of Fritos and a bottle of pop?
That’s the $1200.4 Kids and mother = $240 per individual per month.

I didn’t say only hamburger. But if 93% lean ground beef is a good meal for me, paying for it with my own money, then why isn’t it good enough for welfare people living off OTHER people’s money? So, in other words, you'd have them living on hamburger and tap water.
Do they even get a pickle?
Curious: have you given up all cola, soda, pop, desserts, ice cream, cake, pie, sweets, and fruit juices yet?
Not to mention, steak, fish, and all fattening foods?
I mean, this stuff is so bad for these people, you surely do not condone eating it yourself!
Even overeating good food is bad for you. I bet you'd like Uncle Sam to put you on a diet monitoring program where you are only allotted 5,000 calories per week; when the register reaches the 5,000 calorie mark on your weekly grocery purchase, the cash register simply cuts you off.
After all, I would bet anything that somehow, somewhere, you use taxpayer money to support some aspect of your life too.
I mean, if you want to go fascist, let's go WHOLE HOG.![]()
Do they even teach nutrition and home economics in school any more?
Part of the problem is teaching people more about healthy eating, including food preparation etc.
If you don't store and cook meat property you can get food poisoning or worse. That doesn't happen with a can of soup. Or a bag of snacks.
How do you know this? Do you look at her bank statements? What was the lie? I said she gets $1200 a month in food stamps.
I pointed out lean ground beef costs TWICE what the cheap stuff costs.I didn’t say only hamburger. But if 93% lean ground beef is a good meal for me, paying for it with my own money, then why isn’t it good enough for welfare people living off OTHER people’s money?
Neither did I say they had to live off tap water. They can use their own money to buy whatever drinks they want.
There were a lot of healthy cooking shows on PBS.No, people like you made sure they teach what a transgender person is and how all white people are racists.
It could be doubled easy if the powers to be didn't prefer giving the money away in foreign aids. All the foreign aid money could be also allocated to the SS Trust Fund and Medicare to keep them solvent along with the Food Stamp program. Then, the bickering about poor people's living assistance would become moot. (The reply didn't target you. It was just convenient for illustration since you gave actual numbers.)The annual cost of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps, is approximately $112.8 billion. In fiscal year 2023, SNAP served an average of 42.1 million participants per month. The program accounts for roughly 68 percent of the USDA's nutrition assistance spending,
Doing the math, this comes to complete program cost of $223 per person, per month.
This is the problem with second hand anecdotal evidence. How do you know this? Do you look at her bank statements?
It is. I already said so. The question is whether you will be washing it down with tasteless tap water too? I just don't get this anger at all SNAP people just because SOME of them might abuse the system and the government lets it happen?I didn’t say only hamburger. But if 93% lean ground beef is a good meal for me, paying for it with my own money, then why isn’t it good enough for welfare people living off OTHER people’s money?
These people have no money, that is why they are on SNAP. But what did someone say is spent on SNAP on cola? Something like 1.2 billion? So basically, what you are saying Lisa, is for people with no money to somehow pull 1.2 billion more out of their already impoverished asses just so you can feel better about 1% of the excesses and waste this government oversees, none of which was the doing of old, sick, poor people.Neither did I say they had to live off tap water. They can use their own money to buy whatever drinks they want.
You're obviously stupid. It could be doubled easy if the powers to be didn't prefer giving the money away in foreign aids. Then, the bickering about poor people's living assistance would become moot. (The reply didn't target you. It was just convenient for illustration since you gave actual numbers.)

Were.....
$1.2 billion in cola out of a $112.7 billion budget. It is. I already said so. The question is whether you will be washing it down with tasteless tap water too? I just don't get this anger at all SNAP people just because SOME of them might abuse the system and the government lets it happen?
I'd be angry with the abusers and the government. They started the program. They manage the program.
I'm an AMERICAN and I believe in freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, and freedom to eat in peace whatever the **** I want. I also believe in helping the poor, sick, disabled, old, and unfortunate not as well off as me where possible. As a country, we help people all around the world wherever we can. I'm not about to be so petty as to tell some old, sick lady that suddenly, she can no longer have something sweet or tasty just to make myself feel better that I think I'm somehow saving this country a nickel.

Does that include billions in monetary and military aid to Ukraine? Maybe some of it comes out from shuffling around military funds. You're obviously stupid.
USAID's budget for fiscal year 2024 was $21.7 billion, according to USAFacts.
The SNAP budget was $112.8 billion.
Adding 21.7 to SNAP's 112.8 wouldn't double it.
Then tell their Congress critters, Woodnutz and Liza.We are paying for their junk food, and their medical and dental bills.
Looks like nearly all of them.Yes, in the 1970s.
Here's the current line-up. Tell me which ones are the "healthy cooking shows".
