The idea was to increase the insurance pool so those with pre-existing conditions would be covered

Pre-existing conditions have always been covered, you may have had to pay a higher premium just like you pay higher car insurance if you have a string of DUIs.

Get rid of the insurance companies and we’d save a fortune. How many policies does it take for an insurance company to have private jets? And CEOs making $50 million?

But the facts and tradeoffs are not complicated. Most of us want pre-existing covered, and we want to keep our kids on insurance while they're in college and starting out too. But that ain't cheap. And insurors don't want to do it unless the gummit pays for it. And the gop already cut the taxes the dems passed on doctors and hospitals ... and insurors ... to pay for it.

And the gop can't raise taxes to pay for what voters want, and they can't even raise taxes on the 5% to cut middle class taxes.

And if it weren't for that, the gop would be a shoe in to hold onto the House. But the people giving money to the gop won't stand for it.
