"Birthing person" is not only aimed at creating the illusion that men can have babies, too, but also removing any implication that people have any actual responsibility for raising their children.

You see, the terms mother and father assume roles involved in nurturing, protecting and guiding children into adulthood, whereas birthing person does not. Authoritarians want an all-powerful state where THE STATE owns people's children, so divorcing people from the notion that they have any responsibility in raising their children is essential.
