The exclusive issuer of the USD can print trillions when the GDP is over twenty trillion. Government authority can eliminate inflation quickly, in the vast majority of cases, by increasing interest rates, imposing price controls, taxation..etc. If the US government refuses to do that, due to ideological reasons (they don't want to appear" too socialist", hence they fail to take the necessary, most effective steps to quickly end inflation), the country suffers unnecessarily.

If the government takes the trillions it just "printed" (typed into a computer at the FED), allocating that money to infrastructural development, it will increase production (i.e. GDP). Printing trillions isn't necessarily a problem provided the funds are used for national infrastructure.

Sometimes we can't refuse to purchase those goods and services due to them being the only ones on the market or it would be more expensive to purchase from another seller. The government can impose price controls while giving those companies a tax relief, or other incentives and rewards for cooperating. The government has the stick and the carrot. Both.

It dropping to 3% just means the money is devaluing at a slower rate it than it was last year doesn't mean what you apparently think it means.
