Sitaro,
Eagle,
Students don't need any help in causing a lot of damage. Remember the student riots on US campuses in the 60's, how about Tiananmen Square? Hell, if you doubt the destructive capability of students come out with a few frat boys and me on a Saturday night, and were not even angry. The destruction was caused by a massive amount of angry, hopeless young men, led by some very smart student leaders. Don't underestimate the ability of these folks to lead a group. After all, many of our military commanders are right out of college, and they successfully lead troops all over the globe.
Yes, the European model is broken. Look at Italy, Germany, and France. They are plagued by high unemployment and an increasingly expensive well fare state. I have never been a fan of the European economic model. They want to have their cake and eat it too. This is to say that they want the benefits of globalization (increased productivity) while not dealing with any of its downsides (100 workweeks). Europe has stated its goal of becoming the premier knowledge base economy in the world. A laughable statement considering they seem unwilling to work more than 35 hours a week.
What evidence do you have that these are true believers in Islam? Better, what is a true believer? According to the Bin Ladden camp these people are no more Muslim you or I. According to them, they are secular Muslims protesting a lack of job opportunities, and exclusion in France. They are not advocating the overthrow of the French system so that they can replace it with an Islamist state. That is a huge difference.
If we follow your logic... Al-Qaeda is following in the footsteps (using the tactics created by) of Carlos Marighella therefore, they are Brazilian. Come on Eagle don't confuse the means with the ends.
