Who is the real Bernie Sanders?

Here's some probing questions to give us insight into Sanders!

...asking Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders if he has a "spirit animal."

The video posted on Friday shows CBS Producer Kylie Atwood asking the candidate, “Do you have an animal spirit – a spirit animal?”

“Do I have a spirit animal? Well, that’s a hard question,” Sanders replies.

“Is there any animal that you like, feel you really connect to?"

I love animals, I really do,” Sanders said.

Eventually Sanders discusses how he loves animals and nature and the importance of “not seeing a species wiped out by climate change.”

CBS News' Senior Political Editor, Steve Chaggaris, then asks Sanders if he can do a quick word association.

“President Obama,” Chaggaris says.

“Brilliant man,” Sanders replies.

CBS News Asks Sanders: ‘Do You Have An Animal Spirit?'

Bernie on jobs: It's unlikely we would issue H1-B visas for these jobs:

"""Our nation’s infrastructure is collapsing, and the American people know it. Every day, they drive on roads with unforgiving potholes and over bridges that are in disrepair. They wait in traffic jams and ride in railroads and subways that are overcrowded. They see airports bursting at the seams.

For too many years, we have dramatically underfunded the physical infrastructure that our economy depends on. That is why I have proposed the Rebuild America Act, to invest $1 trillion over five years to modernize our infrastructure. It would be paid for by closing loopholes that allow profitable corporations to avoid paying taxes by, among other things, shifting their profits to the Cayman Islands and other offshore tax havens.

Importantly, the Rebuild America Act will support more than thirteen million good-paying jobs – jobs that our economy desperately needs."""

How could we do this? Simple. Military cut backs:
"""In 2015, the US will have a declared military and defense budget of $601 billion, which is more than the next 7 highest spending countries combined."""
(Here's how the US military spends its billions)
. . . and we all know that would have as much chance of getting passed in a budget as Obama has had success getting his budgets passed.

Does Bernie Sanders’ Imperialism Matter?
Does Bernie Sanders’ Imperialism Matter?

When Sanders attempted to frame Hillary as “pro-regime change” in relation to the catastrophe she created in Libya, Hillary pointed out that Sanders voted “yes” to support that regime change. As the war machine rolled into Libya Sanders wasn’t a speed bump; he was a lubricant. Clinton and Sanders both have Libyan blood on their hands.

Sanders has Afghan blood on his hands too, having voted for the invasion of the now-endless Afghan war that triggered the beginning of the flurry of Middle East wars. And while Sanders brags about voting “no” for the 2003 Iraq war, his vote soon morphed into a “yes,” by his several votes for the ongoing funding of the war/occupation.

Sanders also voted “yes” for the U.S.-led NATO destruction of Yugoslavia, and supports the brutal Israeli military regime that uses U.S. weapons to slaughter Palestinians.

When it was announced that Obama was choosing sides and funneling guns to the Syrian rebels — thus exacerbating and artificially extending the conflict — Bernie was completely silent; a silence that helped destroy Syria and lead to the biggest refugee crisis since World War II.

Sanders is consistently on the wrong side of history; he’s also been a direct accomplice to a series of massive war crimes.

Sanders often uses weak rhetoric to mitigate his imperialism. On his campaign website he says that the U.S. needs a “strong national defense infrastructure” and a “strong defense system,” but adds the caveat that he’s “concerned” about the military budget, and wants “accountability” for the enormous amounts that are spent. Obama the candidate spoke more clearly about war and peace than Sanders does.

Highlighting Sanders imperialism is especially important because the left has been repeatedly duped by imperialist wars in recent years, to the point that imperialism is becoming increasingly ignored, and consequently strengthened.

Blog....And a very biased one at that.

You are correct, it is a blog that pointed out how he voted.

If you have a blog that points out how he voted, go for it. I'm always interested in FACTS.

Sure, it is a biased blog, but it is a blog coming from the LEFT, not from the RIGHT. I suppose you would have a real point if it was a right wing blog.

How about we go to say, a socialist site for facts? Or, is the real problem that you just don't like the truth? Sanders has been a part of the establishment so long, that he no longer can claim to be an "outsider."

Bernie Sanders: Silent partner of American militarism
Bernie Sanders: Silent partner of American militarism - World Socialist Web Site

Yahoo News summed up the candidate’s foreign policy profile as follows: “The picture that emerges is less that of a firebrand anti-war radical than a pragmatic liberal who regards military force as a second choice in almost any situation—but a choice that sometimes must be made.”

CBS News, in a profile of Sanders last week, noted his general alignment with the foreign policy of the Obama administration, including its war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, its nuclear agreement with Iran, and its decision to normalize relations with Cuba.

The continued silence of Sanders on foreign and military policy has become something of an embarrassment to some of his left-liberal supporters. In a commentary published earlier this month on the web site of Al Jazeera America, media critic Norman Solomon, after expressing enthusiastic support for Sanders on domestic and economic issues, complained of the candidate’s refusal to address issues of militarism and military spending.

Solomon continues: “The same omissions were on display at an Iowa Democratic Party annual dinner on July 17, when Sanders gave a compelling speech but made no reference to foreign affairs. Hearing him talk, you wouldn’t have a clue that the United States is in its 14th year of continuous warfare. Nor would you have the foggiest inkling that a vast military budget is badly limiting options for the expanded public investment in college education, infrastructure, clean energy and jobs that Sanders is advocating.”

Sanders is not only generally aligned with Obama administration foreign policy, he has refused to specify a single weapons program or Pentagon project that he would cut or eliminate if elected in 2016. He is a longstanding backer of the most expensive US weapons program, the $1.4 trillion F-35 fighter jet, some of which are to be based in Burlington, Vermont, his hometown.

The so-called “socialist” has voted repeatedly for vast Pentagon appropriations bills, maintaining funding of the wars he was (rhetorically) opposed to, as well as funding for the CIA, NSA and the rest of the vast American intelligence apparatus, the infrastructure for police-state spying against the American people.

So go ahead NTPP, link us to a media resource that will tell us what in the Pentagon or Homeland Security Budget Mr. Sanders plans to cut. I'm really genuinely curious how Mr. Sanders is going to end the police state and America's Imperialism, because, thus far, I've heard about as many specifics on this as we've heard from Trump about anything he is going to do.

Ha ha, that was great. . . the comments.

His spirit animal is a leech. :lmao:

Bernie is an abject failure who couldn't make it in the world so he turned to the last refuge of the loser; politics

So why are the other 99 senators in office? How about the 435 men and women in Congress? Is Trump running because he has a 5th bankruptcy on the horizon?

They are in politics because they can't make it in the private sector

Congressman get rich by what is basically legalized insider trading but if we pulled the shit they do we'd all be in jail

Trump is in this because he's bored and no other reason

Who the hell, besides an avowed hard core commie, would honeymoon in the bleak depressing USSR police state?

As Twain once stated, " A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes..."

Sanders wife once stated [jokingly]....."The day after we got married, we marched in a Memorial Day Parade, and then we took off in a plane to start the sister city project with Yaroslovl with 10 other people on my honeymoon.”

The context was obviously humorous. Who could possibly read that and come away thinking that she seriously meant that they honeymooned with ten other people who were implementing a sister city project?

I'm not sure if the only reason he is in it is because he is bored.

What is his number one issue? It is the loose southern border. He makes it an appealing issue for the everyday American, sure. However, if we really research Trump's history, how he became rich and powerful, and we know who his benefactors are, then we begin to understand why this is an issue for him.

Who would the south American and Mexican crime cartels and syndicates compete with and cut into profits the most? Who would legalizing or decriminalizing drugs and gambling harm the most?

I'm not saying, from the outset that this necessarily is a bad thing. Sure, it is awful to have a President that is sponsored or indebted to criminals, but the fact of the matter is, our system is so damn corrupt, that criminals of the elite kind have long been in control. One thing that the common folk and organized crime have in common is that the law is no longer applied evenly.

It is a sad commentary when the only folks that can save the system before it is utterly destroyed is organized crime.

Why don't we hear more about it in the press? Well, there are stories, you just need to look.

If the mob does you multiple favors, in the end, you own them one, and a big one.

"It is the most under-reported story of the summer, and the mystery is why. Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner, is well known to have had ties to notorious crime figures like Paul “Big Paul” Castellano, head of the Gambino crime family, Anthony “Fat Tony” Salerno, boss of the Genovese mob, and others of their ilk in New York City, Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Trump’s palling around mobsters is well-documented. So why are his Republican opponents reluctant to use his sleazy connections against him, as they surely know he would do if the tables were turned?

While the story has gone unreported on cable outlets and by the major dailies, it has been public knowledge for at least a quarter century. All an intrepid oppo researcher would need to do to uncover the facts is spend a few seconds on a Google search.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

We know he is not a Democrat. He has never raised money for Democrats.

Outside of this election, most people have never heard of him before.

He's spent 25 years in congress and no one can point to any accomplishment beyond 25 years in congress.

He said he admires Castro.

He calls himself a "socialist".

He said we need a revolution.

He's calling for free college and free health care.

He's calling for higher taxes to pay for free college and free health care.

That is what we actually know about him.

He said he wants to bring jobs back. The question becomes what jobs and back from where.

------------------------------------

This is the future of China

The growth of robotics in China has been incredible. In 2014 alone, the sale of robotics grew 56%, according to the International Federation of Robotics. China will likely account for more than a third of industrial robots around the world by 2018, the federation predicted in October.

Will China Replace its Manufacturing Labor Force with Robots? > ENGINEERING.com

China is the world’s largest exporter for:

  • Electronic equipment (24.4 percent of total exports),
  • Machine equipment (17.1 percent) and
  • Furniture (4 percent), according to www.worldstopexports.com.
Introducing robotics into manufacturing in these industries could help eliminate low-skill labor positions.

-------------------------------

Bernie is lying when he says he will bring jobs back. First of all, Americans can't compete with people making $172 dollars a month. And now those people are being replaced with robots? Bernie is lying. In fact, they are all lying. And uninformed and under educated United States is eating up the bullshit. Putting their hopes in a basket with no bottom.

But Bernie is the worst. Because the press refuses to vett him. No wonder the people are getting pissed. No one will tell them what time it is. Wait until they find out who the REAL Bernie is.

In the mean time, think about where the REAL jobs are. Stay tuned for part II.

Bernie Sanders is a closet communist.

Be honest with yourself Burnout is a pure and simple authoritarian socialist, democratic socialist until he has power. The hag on the other hand is a traditional bought and paid for progressive democrat that believes and subscribes to the belief that only a select group of socialist mindset enlightened party members are fit to serve. Her agenda is just as Burnouts, assume, consolidate power, shut down nonconforming decent, without constraints, to maintain absolute control.

Come on. When it comes to "spiritual", Republicans believe in a Jesus that feels feeding the poor is a waste of money and would support "let him die" right wing health care. They are light years away from the Traditional Middle East Jesus.

So I see that he cosponsored over 5 thousand pieces of legislation. But I couldn't find any that became law. Is that a separate link?
