Who is getting hurt and what we are losing with what Trump and Musk are doing!

LMAO, I don't remember all of your indignation when the same thing was going on four years ago while the price of fuel more than doubled to the highest prices ever seen in the history of the country. Your protests are disingenuous.
That had nothing to do with this and oh yeah… gas eas more expensive 15 years ago. Speculators drove up the price to over $4/ gal until Obama put a stop to it

The Only Way to Fill the Takeback Bucket Is Drop by Drop

Billions in savings, along with other DOGEes, will balance the budget. Billions in fines will pay for Trump's tax cuts.
Once again, all about money?

Unemployment, chaos, starvation, lack of support, uncaring, etc. are not important negatives?

Every action in life has benefits and consequences and the bottom line is that the goal is to always have more benefits than consequences, so the nation and its people can advance and not recede (two steps forward and 1 back rather than the opposite). This OP is going to discuss who is getting hurt and if the consequences of Trump's actions will end up being a plus or a minus for our country.

What Trump has been doing it trying to keep his campaign promises and as such, he is having a 53% approval rating for doing that. Keeping campaign promises is never a bad thing because it is what he was elected to do. Having said that, the way he does that and what the end result ends up being is what is going to make this nation better or worse.

Let me start with this one piece of common sense. Doing a lot of harm to others is never a plus.

In addition, his shutdown of USAID not only removes jobs from thousands of Americans but removes aid from the poor, sick, and needy in the world.

The plus to all of this is a reduction in spending. This hopefully means less debt but the way that Trump is doing it also means the following:

1) less Americans working
2) less taxes being collected
3) less people receiving the needed help to stay alive
4) more Americans needing help
5) more American companies losing the income they need to stay in business
6) more chaos and less order
7) allies becoming enemies
8) hate and payback feelings increased, bringing new problems

Yes, some of the promises made fulfill a need that the nation has but the way that Trump and Musk are going about fulfilling those promises is by using a sledgehammer approach and that is never a plus. Destroying things that have been in effect for decades and offer good and needed things but are full of "fat", is not the way to go. You trim the fat and put them on a diet but you don't blow them away and start from scratch.

That is a recipe for disaster

My biggest accusation against Trump has always been incompetency. He has tried many things in life but with the exceptions of the things his father taught him from a young age (Real Estate and scamming people), Trump has been a disaster. He does not learn from his mistakes because he is a narcissist and always blames others for his own mistakes.

Musk has been a highly successful businessman all his life but it has always been in things he had an interest in and spent time learning about. Nonetheless, his ego has grown to such a degree that he is no longer spending the time to learn new things (such as what governing needs and requires, and what being in a business he has never been in, like social media needs and requires).

He bought Twitter in October of last year and made huge changes (the same he is trying to do now), and now 4 months later, Twitter (as X) has lost 79% in value, has lost most of its income (advertisers have left) and has lost viewership as the changes he made to the media itself, are not liked by the viewers.

Both of these people are making huge changes and are not thinking about the consequences of what they are doing and what possibly was a good thing is now looking like a disaster-in-the-making.

Amen

Negatives for the most part are a bunch of lazy people that don't want to get off of their butts and feel they're entitled to be supported by everyone else. Parasites.

Trump, Musk actions put America at risk of ‘a form of default,’ former Treasury chiefs warn

Five former Treasury secretaries warned Monday that recent actions at the Treasury Department by Trump administration officials and Elon Musk’s DOGE team raise “substantial cause for concern” that the United States’ financial commitments are being “unlawfully” undermined.

“We have during our service in the Treasury Department faced moments of crisis, when the specter of an American default loomed,” the former secretaries wrote in a New York Times op-ed.

“Any hint of the selective suspension of congressionally authorized payments will be a breach of trust and ultimately, a form of default. And our credibility, once lost, will prove difficult to regain,” they wrote.

“No Treasury secretary in his or her first weeks in office should be put in the position where it is necessary to reassure the nation and the world of the integrity of our payments system or our commitment to make good on our financial obligations.”

Simply put, trump 2.0 is a clown show.

Your inability to comprehend English is an indictment on the public school system.

I am cheering the SCOTUS upholding the constitution. Your assertion that using perfectly legal executive orders is ruling by decree may be true, but your beloved demented one used it to a larger extent than any other POTUS in the history of the US and the fact that you want to use childish ad hom to make your point points to your immaturity.

America is not and has never been a democracy. It is a republic. Have you never comprehended the Pledge of Allegiance?

If you are so naive that you don't see the theft, then I can't help you. As for being confronted with my own words---Sorry, you failed in that regard as well.

You wouldn't know an American if one bit you in the butt. Now, again, run along sonny. Come back when you're dry behind the ears and you can understand our founding document.

Your post was very clear.

You embraced facism, and openly cheered for the notion that your beloved fuhrer is above the law.

Many of Trump’s decrees (Executive Orders) have already been struck down. So you can stop falsely claiming that what he is doing is legal.

You made it clear that placing Trump above the law is your idea of “upholding the Constitution”.

In fact, nowhere in the Constitution is there any justification for a President to be above accountability or able to break the law at will.

But that’s what you want. You said so. You want rule by decree.

The United States is a republic, made up of democracies. But that “are public” attempt to dismiss democracy is a common excuse Trumpsters like to hide behind.

The Pledge of Alliegance was written by a teenager in 1893. I don’t know why you even brought it up.

As for theft.

You didn’t point any out. You just made up some rote right wing generalizations and tried to use them as cover for your previously stated support for Trump as king.

(PS. I did not go to public school. I have forgotten more about US history, law and government than you will ever be interested in knowing).

None of that is an excuse to ignore the fraud and abuse ...

We tried it your way for decades, and we're talking about hard working Americans' tax dollars.
We're talking about hundreds of billions of dollars in waste, corruption, and fraud.

The whole premise you suggest that we should just keep doing it ...
Because the people ripping us all off might get hurt, go out of business, or get pissed about it all ...
Go Fuck Yourself ... And I really don't think there is a nicer way to say it ... :auiqs.jpg:

At NO POINT have I said that we should IGNORE it. I have said that we need to change it but do it intelligently, lawfully, and without destruction being involved

As far as your comment about fucking myself. Even if you are right, it is better than what you are doing, which is allowing Trump to fuck you

Wake the hell up ... We're not interested in your silly attempts to suggest we should ignore it for one second longer, or be kind to ...
Whomever thinks they can manage massive dark money, black budget slush funds and get away with it.

Keep crying ... No mercy ... And it's falling on deaf ears ...
With the exception of people like me who are more than willing to tell people like you ...

In order to maintain some semblance of credibility, you really should address the reality that USAID is being merged into the State Department, where its worthy programs will continue functioning. What will not continue are things like teaching clowns to tie balloon animals. When you plug that reality into the equation, all of a sudden the needle moves a great deal into positive territory.

What a load of BS that ignores fact. To begin with, humans BY NATURE are greedy, power hungry and corrupt. That will NEVER change. What needs to happen is control it and the way you do that is by having rules and regulations that PUNISH such behavior and to do that, you need to be constantly investigating it so it can be controlled.

Trump is against regulations and against punishing such behavior (probably because he has been doing that his entire life)

What is worse (as far as you personally are concerned) is that you are not only a big hypocrite but a biased one at that.

Facts are this:

The Republicans are the wrong people to try to get rid of corruption and greed. They have proven to be more guilty of that than the Democrats

Don't forget to add that we are not going to continue to use FEMA funds to the tune of $59 million a week ...
To house illegal immigrants at Pakistanis owned hotels in New York ...
When we could actually spend the money allocated for Disaster Relief on Americans in North Carolina after a hurricane.

You morons never give up, do you?

Look here, moonbat: You lost, ok? Do you understand what I'm saying?

Now go away.

Not America's responsibility. You're mistaking charity with responsibility.
So please remove all references to God and Jesus going forward.. You could replace with the the Dollar...

In the Dollar we trust....

Beside that, it is conservatives that use to push USAID most... They used it grease the wheels of foreign relations...

Really would like EU to take the vacuum that US leaves and not China... If US are determined to diminish and not be a superpower, then I think it best EU was in charge instead of China...

Really dislike the Trump pro China policies...

The standard congressional approach to dealing with waste abuse and corruption has been for a congresscritter or two to publicly declare that wasteful spending is doubleplus ungood and they are going to tackle it. With great fanfare, they form a committee composed of a few accountant types and multiple congresscritters to provide oversight, basically making sure they don't touch anything the critters deem important because reasons. The committee goes dark for a few months to a few years, doing things only they know they are doing, then quietly announces a few token items that should be pared from the budget before disbanding and disappearing into the night, never to do anything again. Naturally, the congresscritters wax ecstatic that they can now claim to be budget hawks, even though, thanks to their continuous oversight, the committee accomplished nothing of note and nothing ever actually gets eliminated.

That won't play anymore. Congress has had way more than enough time to handle things delicately and bring the budget into line and has consistently failed. It's time for the sledgehammer. The pinata is pretty, swinging in the breeze, but needs to be opened to get at the treats inside and the democrats would have us use fingernail clippers to open it.

You actually think it is about politics or Democrats and Republicans ...
I don't care who they catch with their hand in the cookie jar.

The Establishment which consists of both parties has been robbing us blind ...
While they just 'rearrange deck chairs' on the Titanic on Capitol Hill ... In the House, the Senate and the White House.

When I say that I don't care who gets caught ...
And you say people will be out of work, and businesses will suffer ...
You're damned right about that ... And I hope the fuckers go to prison ...

Degenerate democrats waste American money with fraud and abuse. Then Degenerate democrats borrow money from China to spend on more foreign aid. The debt is 36 trillion dollars. Is this not making,an impression?
