Who Here Has Had Enough of the Two Party System?

Is it time to ditch the two party system?

  • Yes. The two-party pissing match is destroying the country.

  • No. The two party system is good for America.

  • It's different when my side does it!

Results are only viewable after voting.
The people who are angry with the system have no one to blame but them selves. Get involved and be apart of the change.
Involvement in the inter Party politics is how the system will change. When it comes to interparty politics the name of the game is hardball. Its not for the non - serious players. Even on the county level you can have a strong effect on the direction of the Party and government of the nation. The media plays down the importance of Party Conventions but there is the power of change there for those who care.:):soapbox:

Nobody here or even the vast majority of American's will never have any internal power with the two parties.

Do you agree with the founders who feared the dominance of two opposed factions?
Yep!

They kinda seemed like smart cookies, y'know?

I've only been here two elections.
Who the **** cares?

What you said was clear....I'll remind you...

You didn't say "since I've been here" or anything of the sort.

Plus, just you saying so has no credibility without proof of the vote. So, since you've proven yourself in here to be quite the crafty liar your list is not accepted of proof of anything...

I'll give you an out. Just say you made a stupid claim that you shouldn't have and I'll leave you alone on this....Will you? Probably not.

Yeah. I didn't want to get mired in arguing over solutions. Just curious if you think our current system of elections is working well. Do you agree with the founders who feared the dominance of two opposed factions?
/----/ I meant an alternative choice in the answers we could choose, but then you would have had to suggest an alternative. I see your point.

No one I've voted for in a long time has signed off on our 37 trillion of debt.
Sure thing

They get 1% of the vote which entitles them to sit i the corner and suck their thumb between elections

Yeah. It's a yes or no question. The third "answer" was gratuitous snark on my part, and I really should have left it out.

/---/ The third choice was funny. I got it. To fix the two-party system, force term limits on Congress and the Senate. It was never intended to be a career.

In reality question 2 and 3 should be combined.

Not proposing any solutions here. Just trying to get a feel for where are.

You've unconsciously set a trap for yourself and already you're trying back out of it.

Good work. Some of the extremists are sure to take the bait.

The problem is the one party system that democrats created that dominate city government

Possible solution? Needs closer examination, As most now seem to be out for them self's... would this work?

Until you idiots can give us someone to actually vote for instead of none of the above, we will continue having a two party system. When will you start fielding legitimate candidates? Trump won because all democrats could do was give us someone not to vote for instead of giving us someone to actually vote for. It's no different with third parties. You have to come up with a reason to actually vote for you other than, "Don't vote for everyone else".

Our two party system has become a joke.
Two parties can't exist under a fascist government. Americans of all political stripe know that from many years of having to pretend they had two choices. The peasants and the working class really only had one choice.

The system failed the working class and that opened the doors to fascism. There was no other choice.

The experiment will have to run it's course, with no other political alternative to oppose it. Any naysayers will be eliminated.

As with any other attempts at fascism, it will destroy itself.

Technically there already are more than 2 parties, but are not given enough voice/publicity to make enough impact that gives us the D vs R, that has become so polarized over the years and why we've been stuck with the candidates we've had to choose from. If given more choices, we'd get better candidates that have more solid platforms in which to run on, like policies that would benefit ALL American citizens......instead of focusing their message on how bad the other guy is.
