Who Here Has Had Enough of the Two Party System?

Is it time to ditch the two party system?

 • Yes. The two-party pissing match is destroying the country.

 • No. The two party system is good for America.

 • It's different when my side does it!

Results are only viewable after voting.
The system is always yapping about democracy and the going off and murdering a few million people for "democracy.
Democracy was invented in ancient Greece. It was supposed to give the peons a voice in things. But, the Rich people hired the best speakers (Solons), and con artists to sway the "public" into voting for what the Rich people wanted.
That is the way it is in USA, too.
Yes and it’s been this way for a very long time. Yet dumb Americans never learn.

24 - 6 - 1 tells me that even those who can't bring themselves to not vote for one of the two main parties understand that doing that is causing harm to the country.
But they do it anyway. Every cycle we see poll after poll showing that most voters think both parties suck, but they vote for them regardless. That's as broken as it gets folks.

I agree. The problem is you. But the poll results are encouraging. They align with poll after poll showing that most voters think both parties suck. Maybe we can get our shit together and kick them (you) to the curb.

Be easier to "change" the dirty "R" to clean. The "D" are communist or mentally ill.

You don't have enough time to save the country and align a party with your Ewam McGregor types.

Stop the bleeding first (101). Clean it up seat by seat with strong leadership.

Or you can rewrite the Constitution you dumb OX

My standards are too gigh. I like aperson of character. Zero skeletons zero divorce, zero everyrhing.

No worries, JD Vance will save the country and sanity will return to prove there is no need for radical and unconstitutional changes. Liberals will never be capable of invoking their lemmings into over a decade of hate and rage towards Vance, or possibly DeSantis.

Nothing will change until this country has 5 parties.

Indeed it could. That's exactly why the two-party apologists hate it.

Not sure I buy that one, but ...

No change will happen until we can build some consensus that the current system is fucked. As it is we have, I think, I silent majority of people who know that "Trump vs Harris" is a pathetic joke, and see plenty of evidence that the two party system is a disaster. But they never speak up because they take the current dysfunction as a given. And that's just sad. We can beat this shit.

No, that is just what you think and hope and pray everyone else is as stupid as you!

Clearly the jackals have descended and the two-party propagandists are doing their thing. We'll probably need to carry on this discussion elsewhere, for those who are actually interested.

Thanks to everyone who participated honestly.
So, because you posted a hypothesis that was quickly proven wrong, you are disappointed and are taking your ball and going home? What a low-life coward you are!

You are quite welcome for the ass-beating you just received.

Whats wrong with being in the center? Absolutely nothing. The sign of intelligence
More the sign of being wishy-washy, lacking convictions and having little to no standards.
The opposite of being a sign of intelligence, more the sign of confusion and ignorance.

No. Standing between two criminal gangs who are every much alike, isn’t intelligent. Opposing both crime families in every way possible is.
In other words, you are a vanilla anarchist, leaning towards AntiFa.
No brains, no guts, no plan.

True, plus there is the Tea Party, the Green Party, the Constitutionalist Party, and others. Usually, several parties are on every ballot, just that the two main ones dominate.

Look at Ross Perot: when he ran, he was like a third party. People loved him, but instead of winning, he just took enough votes from the likely winner (otherwise) and allowed the other party to win instead.
"Tea Party" was not a political party.
TEA = Taxed Enough Already was an issue focused movement (think PAC) which the media tried to portray as a political party.

And then what ?

You might wind up with several parties, ranging the ideological spectrum, acting more like a mob if not disorganized rabble, which will eventually (sooner than later) be manipulated and coerced back into two or three parties, to be later refined back into two parties.

I suggested you study the American history of past 300 years and also the nature and trend of the two existing political parties and what is involved in running a campaign and getting elected.

Our current "two parties" reflect the polarity of ideology and political thought and methods for getting things done without use of violence towards a one-party rule system.

I contribute to the Forward Party, and I have since it started. You can go ahead and mock and insult that now.

I guess you thought you "had" me there. But I'm not like you. Thank goodness.
Actually I was curious if you "put your money where your mouth is".
I'll take you at your word on this, though your record here from my perspective suggests you may not be showing full integrity.

As for your allegiance, like the score plus of minor, near useless, "third" parties, the Forward Party looks to be another ideological muddle that will have little effect other than to draw some of the wishy-washy dreamers to another useless fringe.
...
The Forward Party, often shortened to Forward (FWD), is a centrist political party in the United States. The party was founded by former Democratic 2020 presidential and 2021 New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang. It describes its goals as the reduction of partisan polarization and the implementing of electoral reforms. The party is looking to achieve ballot access in all 50 states by 2025 and federal recognition by 2028.
...
Ideologically, Forward is populist and reformist, and a representative of centrism in the United States. It considers itself to be the center within the American political spectrum, although the party has also been described as big tent or syncretic due to its unwillingness on holding any firm stances or positions,[1] and its rejection of the left–right political spectrum. The party's American-style populism, particularly in its early platform, focused toward independent voters and those dissatisfied with the American two-party system,[2] and advocated a universal basic income within humanistic capitalism. It continues to support electoral and democratic reform (favoring in particular: nonpartisan primaries), independent redistricting commissions, and ranked-choice voting.[3]

The party's principles and positions have been positively commented by the likes of Kara Swisher, while they have been criticized by some on the American Left as a rebranding for the status quo, uninspiring and lacking vision, and questioned its populism and third party aspirations. Forward has also been criticized by some Democrats for the possibility of the spoiler effect that could favor Republicans; the party has disputed this claim.
