What made Covid-19 so devastating was the 10 day incubation period. The longer the incubation the worse a pandemic is.
Influenza has roughly a 24 hour incubation...sometimes not that long. So sick people know they are sick and stay home.

Disease X is a fictitious virus....the name is a placeholder only.

There eventually will be a "disease X" but likely not for a while. The concept is only getting press because of Covid-19 being recently in our past.

But this in no way means X is not coming....but it might be a while. Could be 10, 25, 50 or 100 years before it shows up. No telling either. Nobody knows.

Covid-19 taught everyone a LOT of lessons on what worked and what didn't work and research (outside politics) is ongoing.
