That's a fairly accurate statement. Only the horror of the Holocaust created the support in the United Nations for the partition and the creation of modern Israel. Without it, the UK would have muddled along as it had since 1918 supervising an uneasy peace between the Muslims and Jews until it withdrew sometime in the fifties or early sixties like it did with other colonial possessions and a bloodbath would have happened with the Jews most likely being exterminated by the more numerous Muslims. The same pattern as when Biafra tried to secede from Nigeria after the British Colonial Government left. Only the fig leaf of UN support allowed proto-Israel to smuggle banned weapons and immigrants into the country.

Because we have eyes to read books and maps. There was little to no interbreeding among African tribes. Your genetics would have been totally different coming from only one great or great great grandparent. You would be a different person.
