Nothing going on in America where Congress is needed. Everything is going well.

And they’re fully paid with benefits of course.

Gee, does anyone watch Fox News or follow it on the Internet? Posting this single source provides a shadow on the truth. Words are parsed by Fox Editors (such as using euphemisms and dysphemisms) to describe events, to support the framework to support the GOP and to speak to its viewers / readers to hear what they want to hear, i.e. demagoguery.

This thread is a lie by omission, and sure to convince Fox Viewers who want to be mislead. Critical thinkers who not only tune in to Fox know better, they verify what Hannity, Fox&Friends 'report', and verify it on other networks and other sources.

How is this day different from all other days? They worked 157 seconds more?
Congress is and has been a joke. The entire House should be replaced with candidates who promise to quit after two terms unless voters draft them. Unfortunately, we can only do this with a third of the Senate each time, but they should get the same.

Shitforbrains thinks Congressional sessions are not public record.

Unfortunately that has been the case since 1996. It just ramped up to another level after Barack Obama was elected. I understand why they do it. If they don't, they'll be obsolete in short order. Competition from alt-right Internet sites, podcasts, and electronic newsletters make them seem like the quaint old guard that they've become. So their right bent and Trump love comes from an instinct for survival. You have a rising upstart like OAN that is literally snapping at your heels wanting to knock you off the top of the sandpile. Fox does what they do to survive.

Mondays are shot, congress-critters are all returning from the weekend and getting resettled ... Tuesday might see some work done starting midmorning, committee work in the afternoon ... Wednesdays are generally pretty good and a decent day's work can be had ... Thursdays are for shutting down and flying back home before the rush hits the airport, Capitol Hill is empty by 5pm ... Friday is the weekend, see ya Tuesday afternoon ...

The State of Jefferson's State Legislature has never met, and has never taken any of The People's civil liberties ... cause-and-effect in its simplest form ...

Ok... Give us the Socialist view of how Pelosi ordered the house to adjourn in less time than a health person can hold their breath.

Give us the official Chinese government's version of why Pelosi is holding America hostage for special interest pork.

They are funny when they get desperate and flail about... Aren't they?

Hah! So now the house wants to have a voice vote which will not show recorded votes for the bill. A small contingent will come into the chambers and they will say those who oppose vs those for, ayes and nays yelled out. I wonder why?!

I don't support this change in COTUS; First and second term members of Congress are Interns, and would most likely vote to secure jobs after four years in the public sector, to secure jobs in the private sector; jobs which would allow them to lobby former colleagues to fund and provide benefits to the special interests, and not to the Country as a whole.

Q. Why

A. Too expedite the bill to return to the Senate and then to The President. There are rogues in the H. or Rep. those who are indebted to the Special Interests for their job, and put their job security to their career, and not to the benefit of our country and We the People.

You will hear Nay in a voice vote, but so few that it will not matter, The naysayers can tell their special interests that oppose the bill, and tell those constituents who approve of the bill that they supported it.

They claim it is for health reasons. Lol

In reading through it, it looks like the payroll tax cut won't apply to workers. Only employers. And even that will be recovered in the tax filing years to follow. And any direct payments to people will be offset against future tax returns.

So the government is still taking its cut later on. Sorry, no free stuff. Heh heh.
