Why do we support a country which has the values anathema to most Americans, i.e. misogyny and racism; an authoritarian government which our founders rejected, putting their very lives on the line revolting against a who King who ruled subjects, not citizens.

SA is a strategic ally. There are 5 US military bases in SA that are necessary if we want to minimize terrorism spreading from the ME to the US.
