IBD/TIPP Poll: Democrats Are the Out-of-Touch Extremists - Investors.com

Politics: We keep hearing about how the Republican Party is full of radical Tea Party crazies. But our latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows that it's Democrats who are out of touch with reality and well outside the mainstream.

The public overwhelmingly believes the country is headed in the wrong direction, that current economic policies aren't working, that President Obama is doing a bad job, that government should be smaller and that ObamaCare should be repealed. But not Democrats.

On issue after issue, in fact, Democrats are the outliers by wide margins, according to an analysis of the December IBD/TIPP survey.

They are, by and large, Pollyanna-ish about the economy, they can see no evil when it comes to Obama or ObamaCare, and they are extremists when it comes to the size and role of the federal government.

To get a sense of just how out to lunch Democrats are these days, consider:
The economy is barely moving after four years of Obama's "recovery," there are millions who've given up looking for work, household incomes are down and poverty is up.
Not surprisingly, 64% of the public says the country is headed in the wrong direction — 71% of independents say this. But those who identify themselves as Democrats are positively upbeat. Two-thirds, in fact, are perfectly satisfied with the country's direction.

democrats won't acknowledge this. Anybody surprised?
........................

Bless you for this information. I have nearly despaired that the citizens would ever wake up...despaired that too many votes had been purchased with free stuff bought with money borrowed from China which the next generation must pay for.

Maybe the new generation will save this country from the foolishness that the hippies-turned-socialists have perpetrated on this country.

Did Liberals learned anything at all from Detroit?

a hack calling someone else a hack.......geezus.....

1. The OP claimed that American overwhelmingly want to repeal Obamacare.

2. I proved he was wrong.

Where's the hackery there? Is truth the new hackery to you rightwing nuts?

When you completely discount his source you become a hack. Embrace it :eusa_whistle:

You don't know what you're talking about at this point. Trolling once you've lost the argument is very unbecoming.

The CBS poll proves he was wrong, by your own standards.

you lose, hack.

According to the Rasmussen poll, the OP was spot on. Carb just won't acknowledge that.

I didn't say, I asked. What do people want, who has tried to accomplish what they want and who hasn't?

like you dont mean the Democrats?.....right?....come on Wytch this is Harry your talking too.....and like i said....they will tell you they tried....if they get something out of it....they will do...

So you're saying most people agree with what Democrats want to do? How come it's not happening?

i already said why....if they get nothing out of it then they just go through the motions and say they are trying but it wont get done....Republicans aint no different....its...."whats in it for me, the Congress Person or the Party"....

Harvard Poll: US Youth Unhappy with Obama's Job Performance

Wednesday, 04 Dec 2013 10:25 AM

Young Americans are unhappy with virtually every major thing President Barack Obama has done since he was re-elected, and those under 24 would vote to recall if given the chance today, according to the results of a Harvard University survey released on Wednesday.

The national poll by Harvard's Institute of Politics of more than 2,000 people aged 18 through 29 is intended to provide insight into the political views of the youngest U.S. voters, an increasingly influential demographic known as the "millennial generation."

Harvard Poll: US Youth Unhappy with Obama's Job Performance

You missed the most important point of the poll.

A plurality of the survey's respondents, 46 percent, said they still would vote for Obama if they could recast their 2012 ballots, compared with 35 percent who said they would vote for Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

Democrats won't acknowledge a piss poll from a hack right wing partisan media site?

Quelle surprise.

Hey, Rush Limbaugh says the moon is made of cheese and the Democrats won't give him credit where credit is due! THOSE BASTARDS!

To answer the topic title question, the answer is, "BOTH!!!"

Both parties are so far out of reality and lost in partisan issues that none of your arguments will come close to addressed within the next ten years. We have to give out $174.000 to widows worth $50 mil first. If you ask congress, anyways.

I know more intelligent people already know this, but the poll questions in the OP link are not evidence of anyone being "out of touch". To prove a party is "out of touch", you have to show what the American people want, and then show how that party is not striving for those goals.

A poll that shows Democrats like things Republicans don't is not such evidence. And that's all the poll is. It's a piss poll. It does not survey the American people and ask them what they want on a wide range of issues, and it does not show the Democrats are going against that grain.

DEM: I like Obama.

HACK: YOU ARE OUT OF TOUCH!!!

The people did NOT want Obamcare, yet they forced down everyone's throat anyway.

Shows (based on your post) that the far left is out of touch.

A textbook example of what it means to be: "Stuck on Stupid."

What the far left does not understand is that the majority of Americans did not want Obamacare in the first place.

Universal Health Care was selected as a vehicle for achieving Obama's goal of controlling the American people because Obama knew many or most of us would go for it.

Because when you control the people's health care, you control the people.

And Obamacare was primarily about wresting control from the American people.

So we would be subjects of the Government.

but they did want some kind of improvement or "tweaking" to our healthcare system...just not this thing being offered....

So you want a direct democracy? Where the mob votes by referendum on every bill?

The most popular item in the bill that eventually got dumped was the public option on the exchanges.

No matter how you spin it, repeal is not the majority position.

OK, but being opposed to it is the majority position. Its a terrible law, it could never work, it is hurting our economy and our citizens right now.

it belongs to obama and the dems who rammed it through, and it will be their downfall.

Half the people that "don't like" the ACA don't think it goes far enough. The GOP is not on the majority side in regards to the ACA.

Please prove this.
