IBD/TIPP Poll: Democrats Are the Out-of-Touch Extremists - Investors.com

Politics: We keep hearing about how the Republican Party is full of radical Tea Party crazies. But our latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows that it's Democrats who are out of touch with reality and well outside the mainstream.

The public overwhelmingly believes the country is headed in the wrong direction, that current economic policies aren't working, that President Obama is doing a bad job, that government should be smaller and that ObamaCare should be repealed. But not Democrats.

On issue after issue, in fact, Democrats are the outliers by wide margins, according to an analysis of the December IBD/TIPP survey.

They are, by and large, Pollyanna-ish about the economy, they can see no evil when it comes to Obama or ObamaCare, and they are extremists when it comes to the size and role of the federal government.

To get a sense of just how out to lunch Democrats are these days, consider:
The economy is barely moving after four years of Obama's "recovery," there are millions who've given up looking for work, household incomes are down and poverty is up.
Not surprisingly, 64% of the public says the country is headed in the wrong direction — 71% of independents say this. But those who identify themselves as Democrats are positively upbeat. Two-thirds, in fact, are perfectly satisfied with the country's direction.

democrats won't acknowledge this. Anybody surprised?

Harvard Poll: US Youth Unhappy with Obama's Job Performance

Wednesday, 04 Dec 2013 10:25 AM

Young Americans are unhappy with virtually every major thing President Barack Obama has done since he was re-elected, and those under 24 would vote to recall if given the chance today, according to the results of a Harvard University survey released on Wednesday.

The national poll by Harvard's Institute of Politics of more than 2,000 people aged 18 through 29 is intended to provide insight into the political views of the youngest U.S. voters, an increasingly influential demographic known as the "millennial generation."

If you look at scum-sucking dimocrap v. Patriotic American, you might be able to make the argument that it's us who are out of touch.

Not so much if you look at 'independents'. Take a gander.... dimocraps approve of the scumbag-in-chief by TWO-1/2 TIMES the margin of Independents!! Hello! Bueller? Anybody home?

Look at the Stuttering Clusterfuck's approval rating on the handling of the economy -- Over twice that of Independents.

It could be said that Patriotic Americans (aka; Republicans) are just as adamantly opposed to the Stuttering Clusterfuck as dimocraps are in favor of the piece of shit. Valid political point..... Except, but, however......

Except for one thing..... In not one category do Independents approve of the POS but dimocraps do in EVERY category.

Radicals, extremists, out of touch..... Those are the words that describe the dimocrap party. Always have, always will

Which Party Is Out Of Touch?

Both

:iagree:
That is the correct answer.
One poll says the Dems are out of touch, another poll says the GOP is out of touch. All polls show the public's dissatisfaction with both parties.
It's not that hard to figure out,,,well that would be for most folks who aren't married to one or the other ideology.

If you think that Democrats, Independents, and young people favor the Republican knuckle-dragging anti-science homophobic party, you're out of your mind. For the most part, the country is unhappy that Obama resembles Bush so strongly.

We wanted change . . . instead, we got more of the same shit, but in a darker skin color that Southerners cannot abide.

I have to agree even though I believe that the dems are MORE out of touch.

the people are fed up with DC and corrupt politicians from both parties---DEMAND TERM LIMITS.

Piss off, libertarians and eeyores.

Either offer something tangible or go ruin somebody else's day.

Better yet, vote Republican. We might not be perfect but I'll tell you something else we're not.....

dimocrap scum.

And that's a big improvement over anything you have to offer

HORSESHIT, why do you fools always have to make it about race? Obama would be a terrible president if he was a lilly white red headed irishman. it has nothing to do with race.

You wanted change, well you got it. Comrade.

Why? So we have a brand new batch of politicians that need to be bought off every few years?

Can't touch that.

You can't.

1. Not when virtually everything you said about Obamacare was a lie to get re-elected.

2. Not when you use the IRS as a attack dog to stifle people's 1st amendment rights and harass there ability to dissent.

3. Not when you lie repeatedly in the debates (ex. the White House had nothing to do with the sequester).

4. Not when the have the Census Dept make up phony numbers right before the election to make the unemployment numbers look better.

5. Not when you have the media completely supine and unwilling to ask the most basic questions.

6. Not when you lie about Benghazi right before the election and blame it on a video after you have lied and said "We've Al-Qaeda is on the Run."

Unfortunately, for several decades now, Republicans haven't offered anythign different from Democrats. They simply speak as though they will and then act just like them. If republicans actually acted as though they were different from democrats instead of simply telling people they were, they may have more people siding with them. As it stands, that is not the case. The two party paradigm is simply window dressing for one big Welfare/warfare Statist party.

We can thank all the dead people and illegal immigrants - and food stamp recipients/crack addicts or your ilk in Florida for that abortion.

You are really proud of all of Obama's "ahem" successes, huh?

Dear God... wipe your chin off.

nope, I would also ban all forms of lobbying (legalized bribery), and cut congressional salaries and staffs by 50% and eliminate the congressional retirement program.

It should be a sacrifice to be in congress, and then you return to your real job.

Why ban lobbying when all that needs to be done is follow the constitution and stop judicial legislators at the bench.

Simply put, remove the federal government from the economy entirely, where it shouldn't be anyway, and the lobbying would stop. If legislators couldn't legislate favors in the economy, corporations would simply spend all that additional money they use to line pockets for favors, on actually economically productive things.
