The Point is not that she is against obesity, but that she is messing with the military. The active lifestyle lived by most of the military requires more than a standard menu. She would starve our troops with her ideas.

I can't remember going into a Mess Hall and there not being a selection of fresh fruits to choose from. But there was also a Mess Sergeant (in the old days) who made sure you had a balanced diet that was based upon your lifestyle, not upon the First Ladies wishes.

She needs to keep her nose out of the military's business.

What are you talking about? We're talking about the nutritional needs of someone participating in the physical activity involved in the military. Fruits and vegetables are an important component of that. Short of time in desert heat, you don't need additional sodium - and you certainly don't need additional fat.
