Zone1 Where does atheist morality come from?

It's a misnomer. Morality by definition comes from being guided by a higher inward authority which obviously atheists cannot have since they recognize no higher authority within themselves, so what they really mean to say is their ethics. An atheist can have ethics.

Morality implies a divine source but ethics can be anything, good or bad.
Very good to point this out. Good or bad is something we are all born with, the Light of Christ or conscience. But, morals is something that we can receive by either the influence of the Holy Ghost or the Gift of the Holy Ghost if properly baptized by water. Atheists reject the Holy Ghost but not their conscience.

How can an atheist claim to have morals, other than by stealing morals from other sources such as the Bible, or the law of the state or nation in which they live?

For that matter, there is no way to know what every individual's morals are or where they come from, so how do we know that an atheist has morals to begin with just because they say they do?
Morals are not religious, they are societal. People get their morals from the society they are in.

Gods have nothing to do with it.

Each society has their God to follow their god's morals. The point is, atheists see themselves as god because they seem to know everything about the universe and every place in and outside the universe to make a blanket statement there is no God.

The Atheist has no Morals. Because the Atheist has no God.!! The Atheist is just another form of Satanism. The devil is the God of the Atheist.!!, that's why they don't believe in a God.!! No morals, no God, that is an Atheist.!!??!! Look at what Communist soldiers do when they invade Democratic God fearing countries.!!?? They have no morals, no God. Look at what the Russian soldiers do to the civilian population in the Ukraine ??!!!? Does this give you a preview of how an Atheist Godless mind operates??!!There is no God in a Communist State government system.!!??
The religious not has no morals. He has to borrow some from god. That's why they have to believe in a god, so he/she/it can tell them what morals to have. Look at what the Christians and Islamic have done to each other for centuries because of their gods. The hideous abuses during the Spanish Inquisition were because of a god.

This should give you a sense of the atrocities god-botherers of all stripes are capable of.

And it is why the USA was set up as a secular nation.

Each society has their God to follow their god's morals. The point is, religious nuts see their gods as absolute because they seem to know everything about the universe and every place in and outside the universe to make a blanket statement there is a god.

Plus you are dangerously skirting the topic that there may be gods other than yours.

There are gods other than Elohim and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Satan is the god of the underworld folks who believe in him and follow his evil. While there are many gods in Hinduism, the fact the people believe in their tenants of living, they believe in a higher power than themselves whether real or not. Atheists make themselves their own god. Therefore, their morality is ever changing by the whims of the wind.

I'm not actually an Atheist, you know.

Just not a christian or any of the other big organized things.

Since the Bible exists, the morality of the Bible has to exist. Be logical for a change. Duh!

you might like to believe that, the truth is the bible is nothing more than a book of fiction no more real than whatever might be brought to lite by atheism.

"Thou shalt not kill," is a commandment from the Ten Commandments in the Bible, emphasizing the sanctity of life and prohibiting unlawful killing or murder. It's a fundamental moral principle that underscores the value of human life.

Here's a more detailed look:
  • Biblical Context:
The commandment is found in Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17.

  • Focus on Unlawful Killing:
The Hebrew word translated as "kill" in the King James Version, ratsach, actually refers to unlawful killing or murder.

    • Moral Significance:
It reflects a belief that humans are created in the image of God and therefore have inherent dignity and worth.
    • Expanding the Meaning:
Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, expands on this commandment, teaching that harboring anger or hatred can also be a form of murder.
    • Contextual Considerations:
While the commandment emphasizes the sanctity of life, some legal and historical contexts, like warfare and capital punishment, are exceptions where taking a human life may be permitted under certain circumstances.
    • Universal Moral Standard:
The prohibition against murder is considered a universal moral standard, reflecting God's justice and righteousness.

There is immorality in the Bible also to teach yous dummies.
No, it is there because we are to choose good over evil. That is called Moral Agency. We need to know good from evil in order to choose good. If we choose evil, we lose our ability to have Moral Agency.

Yet in real life, it is censored.
