Where did our planet, Earth, come from?

As uninformed about religion as you are about science I see ... God created the Earth on the Third Day ... a single day ... He rested on the Seventh Day ...

When did he create the rest of the galaxies?

LOL!!

When did he create the rest of the galaxies?

LOL!!
Genesis 1:1 (without regard to verse 2).

"In the beginning God created the heaven(s) and the earth."

Sounds like they were created at the same time.

And the Jews who wrote the Bible believed stars were the same size as figs....

In reality, there are hundreds of billions of galaxies. We live in one.

Any idea what the ratio is of Earth's mass to the mass of the Milky Way?

That was a figure of speech, not to be taken literally.
It's doubtful that those who received those revelations misunderstood them. Who would believe that birds could fly through solid matter, the firmament.

That doesn't add up to 135.

God didn't assign time as we know it until the restoration of the surface of the earth in Genesis 1. Prior to that only God knows what time was. The age of the universe as proposed by scientists is nothing more than WAG's (wild-ass guess).
That is just not true.

What about Moses. Why did he "look different" when he came down the mountain?

Was it perhaps because the real Moses was offed on top of Mt Sinai and replaced with a levite priest who needed 40 days to grow a beard?

Doesn't that explain why Moses exterminated the Midianites?

All the above comments were interesting, but nobody has accounted for the huge quantity of water on our planet.

Water is not a natural element you find in the periodic table.

periodic table.png

The water molecule (H2O) is created when two atoms of hydrogen combine with one atom of oxygen. In the process a great deal of heat is released.

The volume of all water on our planet is about 332.5 million cubic miles (mi3), or 1,386 million cubic kilometers (km3). A cubic mile of water equals more than 1.1 trillion gallons.

Anyone here care to calculated the energy released in this process?

What are you saying? That water doesn't occur naturally?

Where did our planet, Earth, come from?

I believe that there were huge clouds of varies gases’ floating in outer space.

One such gas cloud is hydrogen, and another is oxygen. These gases stick together because that are one of a kind.

When these two clouds met each other, the gases mixed.

At some point an outside energy source produced enough energy to ignited the gases creating a huge fireball giving off a great deal of heat. At the same time oxygen and hydrogen gases combined to form water molecules, H2O.

The water quickly cooled, turning into ice.

At this ball of ice traveled through space it collected rock and this rock migrated to the center core.
This core is our planet earth with miles of thick ice covering the core.

The Snowball Earth hypothesis proposes that, during one or more of Earth's icehouse climates, the planet's surface became entirely or nearly entirely frozen. It is believed that this occurred sometime before 650 myr (million years ago) during the Cryogenian period. Proponents of the hypothesis argue that it best explains sedimentary deposits that are generally believed to be of glacial origin at tropical palaeolatitudes and other enigmatic features in the geological record. Opponents of the hypothesis contest the geological evidence for global glaciation and the geophysical feasibility of an ice- or slush-covered ocean, and they emphasize the difficulty of escaping an all-frozen condition.

That ice has been melting ever since.

The retreat of glaciers since 1850
affects the availability of fresh water for irrigation and domestic use, mountain recreation, animals and plants that depend on glacier-melt, and, in the longer term, the level of the oceans. Deglaciation occurs naturally at the end of ice ages,

I believe our planet got caught in the gravity force of our sun, putting our planet in an elliptical orbit around our sun.
Earth came from outer space.
as i see it, how about you?
God. Next!

And your theory on how where the 332.5 million cubic miles came from is?
It is rumored that there is an alien race who are 15 feet tall and weighs over a ton. This race urinates water in the same way we urinate urine. They travel the universe in groups of 25-45 ships. These ships are huge with thousands of individuals living on each ship. These aliens store their urine in board. When the spaceships reach capacity, they discharge this urine in bulk on the nearest planet they may be passing.

All the 25-45 ships did the same on our planet. Wala, we have oceans.
