Zone1 When Will Black People Get Over The Past?

I'm talking about immediate family members. I'm talking about violations that never ended just because the laws changed making acts and behaviors based on racial discrimination "actionable".

If I didn't know any better it would appear that you all are completely oblivious to the fact that racism against Black people is still going on. All the things that have happened in the past are the background to the instances happening today.
"Actionable" grievances should be settled in court.

Much of the wealth produced by black slave labor has been lost. First in the south in the Civil War, and primarily in the Great Depression, as well as in economic downturns since. Also, much of the wealth produced by 'slave' grown cotton remains in Europe, not in America.
The hell it has. But this is not about slavery. Racists try limiting this to slavery so they can argue about how they aren't responsible but:

Citygroup did a study focusing on U.S. GDP from 2000 until 2020. The study revealed huge losses in GDP due to continuing discrimination against blacks in business revenue, education, housing credit, and income. The study determined that since the year 2000, continuing discriminatory practices in the four areas mentioned in the prior sentence resulted in a loss of 16 trillion dollars in GDP.

The breakdown is as follows:

“Closing the Black racial wage gap 20 years ago might have provided an additional $2.7 trillion in income available for consumption and investment.

Improving access to housing credit might have added an additional 770,000 Black homeowners over the last 20 years, with combined sales and expenditures adding another $218 billion to GDP over that time.

Facilitating increased access to higher education (college, graduate, and vocational schools) for Black students might have bolstered lifetime incomes that in aggregate sums to $90 to $113 billion.

Providing fair and equitable lending to Black entrepreneurs might have resulted in the creation of an additional $13 trillion in business revenue over the last 20 years. This could have been used for investments in labor, technology, capital equipment, and structures and 6.1 million jobs might have been created per year.”

Nonsense. We've done just fine since slavery ended. So sad that you, who apparently have found success by following traditional rules and methods would defend the failure of your 'bruthas'.
Why do whites like you say such stupid things? Do you know how much government assistance whites have been given that blacks were excluded from even though blacks paid taxes? The only failure is in the part of white American culture that continues denying what has been done. You are an example of that failure.

You have a place at the table, but what have you brought to the table other than grievances?

You’re talking about crimes apparently. And I don’t doubt for a moment that some crimes are committed based largely on racist motivations.

You don’t want to forgive that? Cool. Don’t. But just be careful not to generalize the criminal racist behavior of a few to all people belonging to the racial group of the criminals in question. For that is prejudice.

If you do it, you are prejudging all of a race based on the behavior of just a few. That’s racism, not so pure but pretty simple.

Most cops are good but all are condemned for the actions of a few (and by one racial group).

Would you like to be treated the way they are treated by white people in this country?
There are millions upon millions of white people in this country, and they don't all treat blacks identically. The same can be said about blacks regarding whites. Broad brushing achieves nothing except resentment.

White people want to fix the problem of racism way more than black people do. All we need is for someone to point it out and it will be fixed in five minutes. So why has this discussion been brewing since 1963 yet no problems have been presented? If there isn't a problem how can we even start to find a solution. Deep down you know that you want racism to end.
Most just want OPM.
