Really? Why? I was under the impression when you try to colonize a country, you can take all their natural resources, and either sell them in your home country where there's usually a big demand, or sell them on the international market. Either way, you make bank.

We wrote (along with the UN) territories that shaped the nation's boundaries around the world. We even split Germany in half to keep them from trying to rise again. (Two tries in 40 years to conquer the entire planet)

So....there's that. Israel actually seized the Golan heights from Jordan during a skirmish with them foe a second time shortly after British occupation of trying to assist them establish themselves. (The Brits did a piss poor job of it)
