Zone1 When I look at mama's old Bible

I was worried when TNharley took it off topic. Kudos for waiting tor the proper moment to return it to your actual topic.
I try to ignore off topic banter and force the other person to stick to the subject. If not, I leave.

Its not just this passage or that passage, its the book as a whole. So many inconsistencies, things that arent possible like plants living without the sun. Gods laws are absolutely bonkers. And then we have god himself.
Even if I thought he was real, I would NEVER serve a jealous, genocidal tyrant like him.
Certain plants can live without the sun. The Indian Pipe plant, the Dodder plant and the Snow plant synthesize fungi instead of sunlight.

Even if I thought he was real, I would NEVER serve a jealous, genocidal tyrant like him.
You don't believe God exists. So you must believe it was Jewish embellishment. You should be calling the Jews genocidal tyrants instead of God. Do you even logic?

Interesting... no other deity in any other religion faces as much scrutiny as God does. It's very intriguing.

What shocked me was how morally bankrupt the god character in the Bible is and how immoral the entire concept was of transferring the responsibility for your own crimes and errors to someone else.
That is precisely why God sent Jesus to die on the cross. He took the burden on himself.
